It’s a good point, I didn’t realise he started in round 2 last year.
It’s the rules but we must of had an exception last year due to injuries.
I just can’t understand why we had to upgrade hope to play just 1 game.?.

Development contract players can play NRL all season not just after round 10 or whenever.

Tristan Hope was on a train and trial contract and was upgraded to a development contract so that he could play that game he appeared in, he is not top 30.

I think they aren’t far away from having a big win actually…but if you are dreaming of a Top 8 position then that won’t be happening this year ..

Finally someone saying it for how it is. He's overrated and inconsistent. His stats over seasons in a stacked team are pretty average. Seeing as he's a guy who doesn't like to take the line on I don't see that changing any time soon. Better to start developing galvin as the halfback now and play luai 5/8 then in 2 years time when luai is 30 and has the tigers virus he can take his player option and leave the club

Luai missed all the trials and appears to me hasn't gelled with the team yet, 6 of the team are new recruits it doesn't always click straight away.
Your dislike for him is blinding your judgement without taking this into account, it might be halfway through the season before everything come together.
I don't know which games you watched last season, but I see it differently.

Just a question on the ranking of lower / lesser grades:

Behind the NRL squad does the KOE squad or the Development squad come next? What are the limitations on both their usage, signed squad numbers and who would generally be paid more? Id think the development squad come before the KOE but not sure on things. Was just pondering the 'seniority'of things when Taylan May was apparently offered a KOE contract but wasnt interested.

Yes hank Development anytime, T&T and all other contracts from round 11 but must be 18 unless NRL permission.

Interesting thought but not correct, although it is the Wests Tigers and the NRL may choose to trial that starting in Round 6. 🤣

It may of changed. I was under the impression train and trial could be called up if there are injuries to the squad above them. That may of been a rule for Dev players when it was first announced as originally they couldn’t play until round 11.

You may be right N, I think the NRL could allow it if a horror injury toll is present in your roster, call it special circumstances.

What the 🤬🤯 is this Club doing.
Other pathways results this weekend are also diabolical. It’s just unbelievable that a football club with our catchment area can produce such crap coaching and poor talent identification.
What can you expect for our future when you get results like that.
Disgraceful.
