Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Not this year for To’o, I’d wait until the end of the season. We have enough wingers, but in a position we need maybe now.
If we can manage it i’d rather him have to rot on his min contract for a while longer than walking straight on to a mill. That’s why he’s doing all this.
Anyway we need to be make sure everyone else thinks we can afford to keep him on min in reggies till end of 26, and still win games or we’ll loose the hand.
Penrith are absolutely team first. Not sure they would touch him with a barge pole based on what they’re seeing and no doubt the feedback from ex Panthers.

Joffa to ESL
I’d take Joffa here as a depth player . I don’t think he makes our 17 ( which is crazy when you think about how far we’ve come ) . I’d also take Penisini , and look to grab someone in their system is about to pop but not really getting anywhere . Like that edge back rower who came through last year and is now stuck in KOE.
Only problem with Penisini is he’s a Moses client . Once again , he doesn’t make our team right now .

Time bomb at Eels, Moses is THE star over there.

Galvin has his nose out of joint because Benji let him run things last year but this year Benji wants Romey to run things.

I can see things going pear shaped at the Eels with these two trying to run things.

100%. With Galvin and Moses' enormous egos, I can't see either being subordinate to the other.

The players we have on our books will cover for Galvin. Our problem is if we want to go to the next level we need a player with a great kicking game not a serviceable kicking game. All the good sides have one standout kicker and a very good second option. We now really only have two serviceable kickers.

Great kickers give you field position, like Cleary,DCE and Reynolds. Iam sure Practice and coaching helps, but I believe the great ones are born with the skill. I guess that’s why I can see real value in DCE or Reynolds for two years
Galvin has a pretty poor kicking game currently. No long kicks, no high kicks, grubbers are a roll of the dice.
That's why he'll struggle as a halfback, and his lack of a running game means he'll struggle as a 5/8.

Have seen a few posts on socials the past hour that he is an eel, just a matter of when. Beyond strange decision if true, they are a joke of a club since losing that grand final. Not sure what coaches he is looking forward to learning from there, a rookie coach going 1-5 doesn’t sound great to learn from…
If it turns out to be true that Galvin is going to Parra, because it is an already "Done Deal" it makes a mockery of the NRL rule, "No Deals" before Nov. 1.
What a load of NRL bullshit! This BS needs to be changed or contracts to be written on toilet paper. To be flushed away whenever the urge arises.

Galvin going to the team running last with a rookie coach doesn't fit with his stated desire to develop his game in a better environment but we all know that was a pretext for leaving.
Gould is happy the focus has shifted to the Eels - i feel Gould has done a deal for Galvin .. when you hear that Sexton is a priority you know something is brewing. Wash your hands Gouldy, with the Solvol Gouldy!
