I understand the risk, but Richo’s job is to find a way to get the deal done. I don’t think this approach had much chance of succeeding.

Granted he didn’t get the deal done but he succeeded in flushing out a rat and reacting with strength, leadership and team unity. Would we have been in a better position at the end of the year? Maybe, maybe not. Sometimes it’s best to cash out early.

If you mean the Tigers meeting to offer him the contract Tucker, on 360 Braith was insinuating that the Tigers got wind of another club ready to give him an offer so we put an offer on the table.

No one can officially offer him anything until November.
Additionally, Richo would have been aware that they weren’t prepared to accept any offers until they went to market. People on here have been saying it, our team would have known.

Brown is on 900k-1mil this season.

Half their contracts have been paid for the season already.

The Knights have already released Will Pryce who was on decent money. So you would think that would make up the 150-200k difference.

KPP is not worth $750k...$550-$600k max

Richo has been a mentor for Willie Peters since when they were both at Souths and still close.

Would not surprise if Willie (Hull KR) makes a decent offer for Bud Sullivan for next season with their halfback spot open (depending on Souths’ longer term interest in Bud).
