Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I’ve previously thrown up a few different names, the one I’d be looking at signing is Jake Arthur, plenty might question that but he is arguably the best halve currently outside of the NRL, an extremely fit and dedicated player with good leadership qualities and battle hardened from 3-4 seasons of dominating at NSW Cup level. So not looking at him as our number one choice halfback, but as someone who can apply pressure and be a capable replacement for Luai or Latu when required
Reckon his old man could come and give Benji a hand as well. 🤣

I don't think so. Tallyn's got every right to test the market and see what teams will offer him from a salary standpoint, plus to see what teams would offer him the starting 9 role.

Tartak and Richardson have a great working relationship as well.
Haywood's development needs to be prioritised. With the entry of Perth retaining him will be difficult and having Koroisau allows WTs to develop Haywood.

Yeah I agree. This is standard agent tactics & still plenty of time to negotiate with Tartak/TDS prior to Nov-1 even if Api re-signs. I am sure Richo/Benji would map out a progression for TDS even if Api extended for another year or 2.

while I think we should do everything we can to retain Tallyn, I do agree.

Haywood has proven his quality at Flegg level and is just about ready to step up to Cup, irrespective of what goes on with Tallyn.

if Tallyn does leave though, we're going to need to give him the entirety of 2026 in NSW Cup playing long minutes to prep him for later years.

I don't see what others see woth tds. He often makes the wrong play from dummy half, he has poor first contact in defence. Those saying he should start with api off the bench are mad imo. He is a poor defender very rarely wins the ruck. Api at least controls our line speed yeah he misses a few but we need his leadership as often as possible.

Tds could be a gun but I honestly think he needs a year or two to properly learn his trade build some size. The young fellas are way to impatient galvin included.

Harry Grant is the model and the club definately shouldn't be held accountable to youngens that still need to prove themselves

This seems to happen with juniors at the Tigers more than any other club, they want it all and they want it now.

Straight into cup.

See how he goes.
Mr Mod Sir, sorry to interrupt, but I can report theres whispers doing the rounds on the floor of the one cent machines at Ashfield that Mason and Feledy got the call from Laurie last night.

Can you confirm it?

surely Benji would have sat TDS down last year and mapped out his progression , if the kid is getting above his station , move him on asap. Testing the market is due diligence . Probably just media speculation ,5 parts sensationalism 3 parts speculation with a pinch of truth

You've gotta love Richo but as others have alluded, despite him making out that there have been more difficult assignments in the past, I think he has underestimated the difficulty of this one.

I wish him luck and hope it doesn't kill him, he's not a fit and healthy young man and I don't for one minute underestimate the toll this could be having on his health.
Fair point.

Last time i checked, we didnt even publicise our origin stars.

Unlikely and unwitting heroes.

But Im very proud of them and want to see them recognised.

As you know, ive met Seyfarths mum at the pub once. Ticks all the boxes, most of all, a kind and friendly lady.

With new teams, players know it is going to be good for them.

He's a solid young right centre but imo Toa has demonstrated he has the pace and much improved defence to be our right centre.
So what is the story with Toa, he seems to be constantly suffering one injury or another.

What happened to him last week why did he come off and get replaced with Naden, was he injured again, why was Naden even selected on the bench, surely it wasn't to give Toa a rest?

Wish I could understand Benji's game plan, bench selection and use of the bench sometimes.

The time off will be good for the team. I don't know the answers to your questions.
