Walsh should get the nod over Ponga, hes not as classy, hes a bit of a sook, but he rolls up his sleeves or wears his nail polish...

Tough one. I don't disagree with you but I also don't agree. The club is just like any work place. TDS is absolutely in is right to say "for me to work here i need X to be apart of my contract". Just as the employer has the right to reject or accept those terms. Obviously all players want to play first grade, finals and grand finals. And tigers from all reports are hard to deal with while also having poor results. Gives players alot of hand in the negotiationsDo you think it’s OK for players to place ultimatums on the club, dictate who the club can and can’t sign and determine what their pathway to full time nrl should be? The tigers have invested in Tallan’s development and provided a clear pathway to become their first grade hooker in a reasonable timeframe learning his trade off one of the best in the game.
These comments from TDS‘s manager, which are endorsed by TDS unless he states otherwise, display the same entitlement that led to the Galvin situation:
"We can't talk to clubs at this stage but five have told me that if Tallyn goes to the marketplace, they are keen.
"It's up to the Tigers to decide what they want to do but if Api stays, chances are Tallyn will have to go."
It indicates a complete lack of respect to Api and the club. He’s already gone if that’s his attitude.
Hes full of entitlement. A rat with a gold tooth. It’s karma for Ponga as far as I’m concerned. He’s always been on the nose for me ever since he totally shat on Nathan Brown after Brown was sacked.
Sounds all too familiarIt’s karma for Ponga as far as I’m concerned. He’s always been on the nose for me ever since he totally shat on Nathan Brown after Brown was sacked.
Reports are he told the Eels he was joining friday night only to change his mind after talking to VelaIm not so convinced there...no one likes to know that they are the backup - the spare.
Be great if they told him the deal is recinded LOL.
We need an AFL type draft system aswell. Another thing the rlpa don't support.RLPA are the bigger problem in the game IMO as I believe the NRL want a trade window, but they won't accept it.
I'm all for looking after the players but their expectations are out of this world on a lot of things.
NRL just need to make it happen and put them in their place
Tartak his manager has said in the media if Api re-signs tds will need to leave to find a starting role. But I think if Api signs as a type of care taker and halves reserve and eases tds into the role of 80 min 9 over 2 years, I don't see wht tds would leave. 🤷With all this talk about TDS
Has his management at any time asked for a release from his contract ?
Or is this just a reaction from the media and this forum because Galvin has been released.

There are a few things at play here. Firstly, TDS isn't 80 mins of FG ready yet, so we sacrifice performance over the short term so we can have a solution down the track that will see us good for 8 years or so.I love Api, but do we really want to sacrifice potentially having TDS for 10 years to get an extra year or two out of Api?
That's why there's no backbone, it's infinitely better for us to get him to drop everything and never speak about it than it is for us to recieve a player and the club spend a few years and millions in litigation fighting it and years in the media getting beat up over it. Richo did what was in the best interests of the Wests Tigers here. He did the right thing. So we have agreed to release Galvin without receiving a player in return.
No backbone and it seems there was some truth to the bullying claims.
Just imagine TDS going up to Benji saying if our club captain stays I’m leaving. What has this world come to these kids want it allThere are direct quotes in this article from Richo a month ago that TDS wants to be a starter and will likely leave if they re-sign Api,,,

I don’t think it would be that brazen. I think it’s a little unfair that he’s being tarred with the same brush as Galvin. The circumstances are completely different. If he sees his path here blocked, and another club is offering him a starting role, why wouldn’t he take it?Just imagine TDS going up to Benji saying if our club captain stays I’m leaving. It’s a professional game and players will do what maximises the dollars… the club just cut a guy in the offseason for being late to training because he was required to attend an interview at a police station..Just imagine TDS going up to Benji saying if our club captain stays I’m leaving. Except for Galvin who just left $300k per season on the table…It’s a professional game and players will do what maximises the dollars… the club just cut a guy in the offseason for being late to training because he was required to attend an interview at a police station..

Did he really , I think the dogs , now have brown paper bagsExcept for Galvin who just left $300k per season on the table…
Surly TDS can see that api isn’t going to play till he is 40 he’s already getting on. And as soon as api isn’t up to it’s it’s TDSes position these kids just need to be patient its for there own benefit. I’m huge fan of TDS I’d be devastated to see him go to another club.I don’t think it would be that brazen. I think it’s a little unfair that he’s being tarred with the same brush as Galvin.
