I was watching him last night, good at finding space, still pretty quick and actually looks where he's passing the ball, and not a ball hog...Anyone on here who would consider Gagai on a 1 year deal for the right money? I know we were burnt with Olam, but Gagai still looks fit, doesn’t seem to have any chronic injuries and puts in a solid shift every week. Good defender. Still has some footwork for an older player. Can create an extra man and put his winger away like any good centre should. Thoughts?
Yeah, still raw only a handful of games but when I look at him and Twal. Twal has reached his ceiling imo. I love the guy and his work ethic he's one of those blokes every squad needs just busts his gut in D and gets no credit. Sukkar on the other hand is just starting he has so much up side and I think looking how he's handled himself in the handfull of games he's played, his ceiling is higher than Twals.Sukkar's potential is high. Needs to work on his fitness though. He looks gassed after 10 minutes. He let in a try against the Cowboys by failing to cover the inside space fast enough.
TSP how much would you be willing to throw at him.The Fifita recruitment issue, it’s all about price isn’t it?
If it’s the range, we might do worse than give him a chance.
I think so too. Hard to know if his attitude is toxic from the outside looking in.is Fifita cooked? ,sick of performing for a historically under performing club? ,or totally over Des and his jibber . Worth the risk at a cut price with incentives, short term deals in club favour
Michael Hudson? It’s a question that previously would never cross my mind ……. But who is Fafita’s player agent?
I would like to see these signings to come:Anyone on here who would consider Gagai on a 1 year deal for the right money? an average medium wage short term ,get yourself right ,or his, regretting bailing on the roosters and refuses to put inI think so too. Hard to know if his attitude is toxic from the outside looking in.
Like TPJ,he will be in the boxing ring next year..have a cple of fights with flabby 40yo taxi drivers..then run into someone his size who hits back..and then disappearI don’t see many clubs rushing to sign him. That in itself is a red flag.
I like the idea of May at Lock. He has shown he can ball play and straighten up the line in attack. It add's another dimension to our attack and preserves his body (given he regularly plays 70-80 minutes.This...
13. Terrell May
12. Fifita
11. Pearce-Paul
10. Sam Fainu
9. Koroisau
8. Pole
14. Sione Fainu
15. Twal
16. Tyrone May
17. Da Silva
Is a scary proposition. Seyfarth, Hunt, Bird, Sukkar, Kit etc all in the wings...
I agree Gagai Fifita Taylan Tyrone plus a meat axe FR like Mooney would transform usI would like to see these signings to come:
Gagai to mentor Makasini for a year or two
Taylan May with also Tyrone as halves back up
Go hard for Fifita. He would transform our pack immediately.
Frizzel at prop, depth and locker room guy
Doueihi and especially Staines deserve an extra year or two at the right price
We are very competitive with those additions and back in the finals
Wasn’t the truth, that he wasn’t dropped but going in for more rehab on his ankle?I would take Fifita with no hesitation, the fact he mentioned a truth that will come out to me indicates that the issue is deeper than a lazy player and has something to with Des (not surprising). What is he worth? at his best 1m, right now yr 1 $700k, yr 2 club option $800K yr 3 Club option $900k each year, player also has an option at 100k less than the previous year.
Sorry to disagree Vicious you seem very astute on this website but as an old lower grader from the late sixties KKP to me is a jogger and a cuddler I think this time next year this forum will be full of complaints regards his signingThat’s what I was thinking and hoping also The Chad.
Do you think a potential signing of David Fifita could be on the cards and if so do you think he’s worth the risk ?
The more I think about it, the more I think that Samuela Fainu and Alex Seyfarth are both better suited to the middle and if that happens it significantly increases our forward depth with their versatility to play as middles or on an edge and we wouldn’t necessarily need a smaller forward such as Jack Bird on our bench as players such as KPP and maybe David Fifita can easily fill in as centres during a game if required if injuries occur.
you hoping or know ? there is more truth to comeI would take Fifita with no hesitation, the fact he mentioned a truth that will come out to me indicates that the issue is deeper than a lazy player and has something to with Des (not surprising).
