Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Well if so, that's an absolutely unacceptable failure from the club. There is literally, not a single other club in the comp who just gives away highly sought after, under contract juniors, for nothing.
Either we leverage our position of power to fill one of the many roster spots we have, or we don't let him go.

Is this for 2026 or immediate?
You act like you are surprised. How many players have to be released before you realise that’s how this club operates. We’re cucks.

This would be a disaster for the club. Hope and Murray shouldn't be anywhere near the top 30
at 200k each it’s no worse then signing up 5-6 young players on potential who don’t develop at all. It probably allows us to spend money and space on actual first graders. They are both toilers so at least one will be working hard and hang around to provide the depth long term.

We don’t need a player in return or atleast wouldn’t want what these teams will offer

Use the spare money to extend the Fainus and focus on Haywood who also has heaps of potential

Unfortunate to lose Tallyn but it’s not like we don’t have backup plans
Spot on KC. Player swaps sound good in theory but rarely happen.

1 Needs the agreement of both clubs & both players. 2 Player has to fit the profile of the club.

It is seen as better to release the player, open up a roster spot & cap space & go to the full market.

Like the Galvin situation, the club will likely ask for $$$ as a transfer fee.

That is all.

Haywood has potential but so did Chris Faagutu, Jake Mullaney, Brenden Santi, Junior Roqica, Penie Tagive and countless others who never made it. Meanwhile, TDS has played 20 games of first grade and will most likely play a couple of hundred more unless cut short by injuries. Letting him go 18 months early without any cover for Api is utter madness.

Seems this club will be stuck in the doldrums forever; no matter whose in charge....

I kind of understand that they don't make decisions based on fans and members, but surely someone from management is considering how this looks to the supporter base and how it will feel. You can't just put your head in the sand, and I'm hoping there is a lengthy explanation as to why this has gone down like this.

Galvin I get and was happy to see the back of, but I'm very confused why we wouldn't make tds see out his contract at the very least.
