Wait.. I’m a little confused…. Is your dig at me because I’m “moving the goalposts” so I can find a reason to disagree with you, or are you implying I need to get my eyes checked out ?
Are you saying there has been no improvement from last year to this year?
Or are you a psychic and reading tea leaves that we aren't going to make any signings between now and next season?

Both. You had a crack the other day re TDS and as I pointed out you hadn't read my post properly then either.
I come here for info and to read people's thoughts and give my own.
I don't come here to be barbed nor to rejoin the school debating team; or the Todd Carney school of crossing swords in the dunnies.
I know one thing, our attack this week couldn’t possibly be any worse than what we dished up, particularly in the first 40mins last week.
But if Manly get the home ground calls for a few unjustified penalties and a few unjustified set restarts , they could get on a big roll, exploit us with an aerial raid and put 50 on us.
You should have been here when we won the 20's, Made the GF in Ressies, were top 4 in first grade 2 years running - and had the likes of Brooks & Moses (Amongst others)
coming through on the Back of Sironen, Woods and Tedesco.

There’s been improvement, but we have lost 5 in a row and are waning. This year was supposed to be the year. Why are we still waiting? We’re always one or two years away. It’s tiring.
I’d wait to see what the team line up is before I make that call re our attack.

This year was never the year. Just like next year isn’t and maybe the year after. Why do people except things to automatically click just because it’s a new season. Building takes time, we are building. Hope and expectations is for the media and some disgruntled fans but you don’t turn from shit to great overnight.

Apparently not. There’s always an excuse. 15 years. No biggie.
I expected a fourth spoon to be honest. There is still a chance of that.
But in contrast to that; it doesn’t mean I think we aren’t improving.

My point is that we are always one or two years away. When we are flailing this time next year, it will be the same trope “Oh we’re still a year away from finals. How did you think we would be in contention”. And the same will be said the year after. Because that’s how it’s been almost every year since 2013. The Dolphins are doing the job in their third year, and we’re still limping like we always have been.
