Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Since you won’t answer. My comment was in reference to a question whether he would be top 30. I deduced that since he won’t be getting a contract from his current club that he won’t have a lot of options, hence our club can more or less lowball him. So again, how is that negative?
saying other clubs probably aren’t interested was the negative part. it’s a complete assumption

Andrews I believe is dev next year. No clarity in the press release, it's an assumption.

I am unsure what you mean, there is 27 confirmed.

@BlackWhiteGold, I think stated Kit was here for next year.

Happy to be corrected.
What do I mean? You were talking about spots left if Doueihi and Taylan stay, and if Sullivan goes...

I actually did find an article just then from tigers in 2024 stating both Lauliliis are signed for 2026.

We have one dev spot left for next year, and I believe its being held for Tavana.

Geyers and Andrews announcement both make mention of Benji being pleased to welcome him into his squad, so I believe that means both are top 30... as the club has been pretty clear with the other 5 dev spots this year.

Edit on Andrews - Game winning U19s SOO half's normally dont sign dev deals a couple of months later, they sign top 30 contracts. Andrews is Galvin's replacement, Madden is Sullivan's.

Big takeaway is Richo has identified our shortcomings.

Now have depth in the havles, backs & backrow.

In a perfect world a Lock & Front Rower then we are pretty good. If Doueihi stays it's basically a front rower.

Notable that it's seems unlikely Staines or Naden get a gig. I would like to see Mapalangi get a spot if possible.

What about gulled going on about the non event the trainer was in the panthers game. Then puts a complaint in about our behaviour, what fn hypocrite!

All good.

Agree on the other 5 development spots.

The word around is Tavana would be ideal & to be honest makes sense as all others on development deals are forwards.

Andrews you'd assume top 30 but there was a bit of talk it was a development for next year.

From the limited times I have seen Maverick play 1st grade thought he showed real potential.

For starters he brings a bigger body than Hassett isn't that what our pack has been screaming out for.
Yeah Geyer really announced himself as a player of potential a couple seasons ago. He hasn't progressed much since. I am hopeful he can kick on and it is more limited opportunities (and some of his untimely injuries) holding him back.
For the record I was the one saying Geyer is a better player. Hassett is the guy I think will be a career reserve grader.
