SO we will train him to be a halfback for 10 years?

By train, we will get a fullback and 5/8 to teach him how to be halfback?... At least we could throw one pass Kimmorley at him!

Yep, Latu is not a right-sided 1/2, not now and probably not ever. We just re-signed an ex Junior in Andrews = d'ya reckon his parents said - oh, we don't mind if our MOM U/18 QLD SOO halfback is 2nd fiddle behind outstanding young 5/8 Latu? Latu will be our long-term 5/8 and Andrews will be our 1/2 come 2028 after Luai leads us to the GF in 2026 & 27 and settles into a mentor role for those kids.

Confidence in Andrews, I like it. 👍🏻

But hasn't been able to coach in any capacity, at any level , at any club he's been at - for a very long time.
he wouldn't have been gifted as long a run anywhere else.

In pro sports - you run dead last two years in a row the coach is going to get the sack … Benji got a mulligan his first year here because that got attributed to the Sheenius …although I don’t know how much Sheens was doing other than fronting the press conferences…

I will say though in respect of Noddy that I doubt too many coaches would have avoided the back to back spoons with that NRLW side … having said that let’s try someone else

Wouldn't be surprised if KPP's head is in the Sydney real estate websites now guys, can you blame him, time is almost here to move to greener pastures.

As someone currently in the market, I can tell you he wouldn't be feeling too great seeing the prices in Sydney.. it's diabolical at the moment ..

There a place near us (around the fivedock area) and these young Asian guys bought a house for $4.5 million for a few hundred square metres of land...
They knocked the house down and are rebuilding.. the house itself was in good nick.

I am seeing places in Strathfield and Burwood selling for 6+ million.. just everyday family homes.. what the actual fk is going on

Well good on the Mole, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out Kimmorly didn’t play for the Tigers in the 2005 GF.

Andrews if left sided as well, also isn’t a organizational halfback. He has a higher chance of being fullback over ousting Luai.

Luai leaves after next year or stays as our primary half for another 4yrs. He won’t play 2nd fiddle to anyone far too competitive for that. If he leads us to 2 GFs in a row Benji won’t punt him either.

Nothing like the truth to get in the way.

Just realised that he is a left-sided 5/8 as well - oh well - over to plan B- let's buy a team full of left-sided 5/8s and surely one of them will get the fifth tackle kick right - and this kid looks like he can and he kicks goals in clutch situation to win games from the sideline.

Yep, I had one of those logic moments where I just assumed Andrews was a halfback, cos why would we buy another left-sided 5/8? But then I realised that when it comes to player recruitment, we are more often than not the Worstigers, not the Weststigers!

That list could be longer. I reckon goal kicking deserves its own dot point, it’s worth half a try. The way teams defend on the goal line, coupled with our red zone A game, (A game? ha, you F game), we have no business passing up half a try.

But really that is a list of all the things every club needs to work on to be successful. But just in case maybe someone should facetweet or toktik it to Benji.

Bro - He retired in 2010 and has been coaching all over the place since.
Coached at Dogs, Raiders, Illawarra Comp.. the only place he's lasted more than a year or so, Is here.

This is his 2nd stint with us,
Pretty sure he was with our 20's in 2015(ish) surprised it's not mentioned here more.
