Top 30 in 2028. How does he fit in if Bula is still around?

Without doing the research my guess would be that most clubs carry at least 2 Fullbacks in their top 30. This should not be seen as a threat to Bula (I doubt he would see it like that), but an exercise in building out proper depth in the roster.

I find it hard to believe Purdue will go there to play Center …he will likely have a couple of options that might be better

True. Though he ain’t pushing Munster out of 5/8 but between him and Munster they might fill fullback / 5/8.

Yeah ..I think more chance he stays at Cowboys or elsewhere then end up at the Storm…I don’t think he is a great fit there based on what they have already ..

Now Richo says to Bula we have until March 31 to take up your option at $900k show us your worth it.

A lot of water to pass under the bridge between now & then... Play the long game.

That's unless we strike a deal prior.

I would suggest given the depth we are building at FB the most we would offer is until the end of 2029 maximum more like 2028.

I Think we need to temper expectations with Roberts somewhat. From the game I've seen him play he reminds me of Steve Trindall, Chris Paterson. Big and slow, minimal impact and low work rate.

Maybe he was injured or lost motivation after announcing his departure but he was very average for the chooks. Just doesn't have the aggression or heart to take it to the next level.

His development was the main reason I didn't have him in consideration for the opening of the season. He needs to demonstrate his skill set, not have the carpet laid out for him.

The point Merlot was getting at was the potential for us to develop a quality 13 from within the stock that we have. I would certainly prefer us to recruit a proven 13 of the style we want; it doesn't appear the Benji and Richo agree.

Predicting how fast a 20y.o will develop as a rugby league player is like trying to predict the Lotto numbers.
Young Ethan has plenty of size, good mobility for someone of his size and looks to have his fair share of skill to go with it.
It will be a matter of whether he’s prepared to cop some punishment in order to utilise these strengths which will determine how good he can be and how fast he will get there.

Before Daine Laurie was moved on, Jack was the fifth pick for fullback at The Penrith Factory, behind Edwards, Laurie, Jaxen Edgar & Sione Fonua, that is, if they didn't slot Alamoti or Jenkins in before them. I read elsewhere that he is 19, but the NSWRL site doesn't list his birth date. Maybe he was immaculately conceived and will be our Messiah in years to come. 🤣 🤪 🤣 🍺 🍺 🍺
