So why didn’t Talagi do it this year?Luke Brooks would have also won 4 premierships playing alongside Nathan Cleary in that star studded Panthers team.
2026 will be an opportunity for Luai to prove once and for all how good he is.
Team also had to deal with the Galvin & TDS situations mid year… before the Galvin thing blew up we were 5-4 and after him & TDS’s situations were resolved we were 4-4 obviously not great but it shows that the team was capable of hovering around the 8.Not to Double down…
I think the expectations were higher this year and that we should have finished well ahead of where we did.
Maybe that’s got something to do with it?
The whole we didn’t finish last so we’re better is a cop out for mine, so is the new coach, new squad.
With the squad we had, we should have been better than we were.
Where we finished was a bare minimum I think - we got the bare minimum from the squad we fielded.
And I don’t think that was enough…
So yeah, I’m probably more pissed off with last years results than I was with what the numptys the years before dished up.
No clueNas at 350 Get it Done. come on man whats wrong with you people.
That’s right, no excuses in 2026.Team also had to deal with the Galvin & TDS situations mid year… before the Galvin thing blew up we were 5-4 and after him & TDS’s situations were resolved we were 4-4 obviously not great but it shows that the team was capable of hovering around the 8.
For the first time in a long time we have a fairly settled team coming into this pre season which will do wonders for us. Don’t know about you but next year for me is the first year of expectation that we should be fighting for 8th position & the expectation for Benji to get the team to deliver.
(I don't know if this is the case for Bula, just what is usually the case)I don’t know enough about the wording of the option … what’s the deadline … is he in the open market now for 2027?
Can you read?(I don't know if this is the case for Bula, just what is usually the case)
Typically deadlines for such clauses as are round 10. Bula is currently free to negotiate for 27 with rival clubs but he can't sign with them until either after round 10 or Tigers state they will not be triggering their extension clause.
I've no 'feel' about what he will do. I don't do buy into how much he apparently loves the club. I'm sure he currently does but the likes of Utoikamanu and TDS and plenty of others once said they did as well.
I don't expect an outcome until round 10 approaches. But I don't think that delay should be read into one way or the other.

Can you? What there refutes anything I said?

Really - you're better than that!I originally heard April some time ago…. That can obviously now be varied if both agreed .
Supposedly Richo is negotiating with him for a new deal..neither the clubs or the players option …seems odd that that’s on the table…but he can’t deal with other clubs? Come April…most of the clubs will have their fullbacks bedded down for 2027,,
The extension clauses are not wanting to be activated by either party. I wouldn't take a line from Richo as a formal refusal of the extension. The extension clauses are NOT being activated by either party because they are mutually negotiating an extension FFS...
Why does this shit need to be spelled out?
Richo also states that if the player does not want to be here - he will not utilise a club option. The extension clauses are not wanting to be activated by either party. I wouldn't take a line from Richo as a formal refusal of the extension.
Of course they are mutually negotiating an extension. It is in the best interest of both parties to do so. It is also in Bulas best interest to see what alternative options are.
Until such time as the contract is signed it is simply no more than negotiations and as Richo says in your quote "you never count your chickens".
If negotiations break down, Tigers may yet activate the extension. They may not as well. Every outcome is still possible, even if Richo believes one is more likely than the others.
He can deal with other clubs all he wants now that it is past Nov1. He can't sign with them for 27 yet because the potential is still there for Tigers to activate their option.I originally heard April some time ago…. That can obviously now be varied if both agreed .

If you think that is a Strawman - check this shit out!
WRONG!!He can deal with other clubs all he wants now that it is past Nov1. He can't sign with them for 27 yet because the potential is still there for Tigers to activate their option.
Looking at the market, if I was a betting man, I'd suggest he stays. But I don't know Bula, I don't know his relationship with the club and coach nor his willingness to look at options outside of Sydney. So I've no feel for what he will do.Richo also states that if the player does not want to be here - he will not utilise a club option.
So it comes down to the player wanting to stay........... and like Richo I am confident that is the case
I do - and am confident he will extend before the start of the 2026 season!Looking at the market, if I was a betting man, I'd suggest he stays. What I expect to happen, if he wants to maximise his earning, is to wait til the new season starts. Play a few (he would hope) stand out games and increase his worth with the help of his manager putting his name in the media every week.
Why wait, just do it now.I do - and am confident he will extend before the start of the 2026 season!
All of a sudden we've got something to lose...This place had more optimism & positivity after 3 straight spoons lol what’s going on this year?
