Lomax is probably everything many have said he is but a quality goal kicker and a tough SOO player who has the drive to succeed is an asset to any team. I just worry that it is all about him. Flanagan nailed it by moving him to the right wing. It will be interesting to see where he ends up

Now they’ll just be the sacrificial lambs who threw a spanner into their own careers that every other player in the comp will see as warning signs.

Speaking of those two though, I don’t think it’s the worst thing in the world for Papi to get away from the game. Obviously the money is a loss, but his form this season was way below what it usually is. Maybe the injuries have caught up to him. I’m sure his body could use the break. One of those players who always seems like only one tackle away from a career threatening injury.

As for Lomax, what a jackass. There is a guy who was at the peak of his powers. Origin player, huge money. Could have ridden that wave the next 5 or 6 years. Being a mercenary has bitten him on the arse. Probably will come back to the game eventually, but probably will have a stint in rugby first (Not 360). I’d say they both will tbh.

I think 2028 should have been there starting year anyway. Ardie Savea would’ve signed as the rumoured offer for him was $4 million a season but the world cup in 2027 saved NZRU from losing him. Ardie’s last world cup will be 2027. If R360 sign him I think they will get plenty of other bigger name union players to sign he is one of the most respected All Black players. I think it’s a genuine threat to signing Nrl gun players who may have already won a premiership.

Again - the point is not about the type of training…it’s about the exposure to Galvin …people said that was a factor in the decision making for another player to leave the club…Im not saying that’s correct ( I don’t believe it had anything to do with it ) …just asking a question if it was a negative for that person , could it be the same here? You obviously don’t think so …others might not agree ,..

Assuming Galvin still thinks the grass is greener. I Dont expect his time at the dogs lived up to his expectations...i know the fans did not get what they expected.

Only dependent on the terms of their club contracts, which from the sounds of it, Lomax has crotched himself on a cactus. But technically, they haven’t done anything wrong in the NRL’s eyes. Haven’t signed any contracts with competitions that aren’t legitimate. So no reason why the NRL would keep them out.
