I think we got compo for GalvinI have a different opinion,
Lomax signed a contract with Parramatta to play NRL with them for a certain amount of years ,
Lomax plays 1 year and then asks Parramatta for a release from the remainder of his contract to play Rugby union.
Parramatta agree to release him (because he doesn’t want to play NRL) with the provision that he can’t not sign with any other NRL team for the remaining time of the original contract. (Another 3 years)
LOMAX AGREED and signed the release form.
Case closed
I’m sure parramatta will agree to let Lomax play in the NRL again if they are paid enough to compensate for releasing a State of Origin player.
I wish our club had the same mentality when 2 of our players asked for early releases last year.
Instigated by who?Parramatta are grubs
they held Stef and played him 5 minutes one game prior to coming over to tigers.
If Parramatta want Lomaz they shoukd have to take him back (oh wait they have spent the cash on pezet etc)
They can't stop him from playing at Storm if they themselves are not going to pay him or take him back (or cant fit him in).
That seems to be a restriction of trade
I think Dylan Brown leaving would have given them enough money to buy Pezet for this year. They used the Lomax contract money to sign Jonah Pezet who would have stayed with Melbourne until linking up with the Broncos in 2027 unless the Eels come in with an offer of much more than what he was being paid by the Storm.
Melbourne Storm done the honourable thing and released him to allow him to earn more money and play regular NRL, they didn’t have to release him.
The Eels are grubs and I hope they run last, a 3 way dead heat for the Wooden Spoon between them, the Bulldogs and the Roosters.

lomax left now he wants to come backInstigated by who?
Lorax
Talk about going around in circles.lomax left now he wants to come back
if parramatta can't fit him in, no way they can restrict him from playing nrl elsewhere.
Lomax will probably win court case, restriction of trade
They got something in return, they got Pezet.Talk about going around in circles.
Lorax wanted to leave to join RUGBY and he requested a release.
This was only granted on the condition he couldn’t play for another NRL club for the duration of his Eels contract.
Parra moved on and have rightly planned for life without him.
It is certainly not their fault that Lorax’s mega rich deal fell over. They correctly want something in return if Lorax is now wanting to go against the terms of the release.
That would be the common sense outcome, but common sense is not very common these days.lomax left now he wants to come back

Honestly he wanted to play rugby union for the big pay packet with 360 , that fell on it's ass ,now if the agreement with Parra is we'll let you go but not for another club, that should be the outcome, go find a rugby union team in France or somewhere... definitely don't let him stroll into the Storms it's would be ass wipe on any contract moving forward...That would be the common sense outcome, but common sense is not very common these days.
Pezet was nothing to do with the Lorax deal. They got something in return, they got Pezet.
Now they are just being greedy and wanting him tn sit on the sideline and not play for anyone, it’s very petty.
It's Lorax not LomazParramatta are grubs

I agree Pezet was because Brown left. Lomax leaving was nothing to do with it.Pezet was nothing to do with the Lorax deal.
Plenty to do with it, Parramatta would not have afforded to register Pezet’s contract had they left room for Lomax to return.Pezet was nothing to do with the Lorax deal.
I thought Pezet had a clause saying he could go if Hughes or Munster was resigned? I don't think Lorax has anything to do with Pezet and Melbourne.Plenty to do with it, Parramatta would not have afforded to register Pezet’s contract had they left room for Lomax to return.
And the Storm certainly would not have agreed to release Pezet while still contracted tn them if they knew the Eels were going to handle it this way in return.
As someone mentioned, the common sense court ruling will be it is restraint of trade to not have any room for Lomax themselves, but want him to sit out and not play for anybody rather than releasing him to play for Melbourne Storm.
Not when hes had legal replomax left now he wants to come back

Not when the main clause of his release is that hes is not to play for another Rugby league club til his current contract he signed only 12 months. At the end of the day every player that breaks contract will claim the same thing as soon as another club shows interest.lomax left now he wants to come back

Correct. Pezet had a release clause in his contract that he could leave if he had another NRL deal if the current halves were extended. Anasta, his manager, said it on 360 when he signed his new deal. Melbourne didn’t release him to Parramatta, he was free to leave.I thought Pezet had a clause saying he could go if Hughes or Munster was resigned? I don't think Lorax has anything to do with Pezet and Melbourne.
Also Pezet is just playing one season at Parra before going to Brisbane.Plenty to do with it, Parramatta would not have afforded to register Pezet’s contract had they left room for Lomax to return.

then parramatta should take lomax back. If they can't then that is probably deemed a restrictionTalk about going around in circles.

then lomax should just say I want to come back to Parramatta. Parramatta has no room for himNot when hes had legal rep
