Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Mitchell Moses continues to rip into Da Silva at every chance, it’s uncalled for and creates a toxic environment.
They say Ryles is a great coach, a good coach doesn’t allow that to happen.
I think that's where Ciraldo and Ryles will fall down.

Heck it's where Madge fell down, but less so.

Ciraldo clearly had too much Bully in his environment at the Bulldogs.
Ryles, from what other players have said. They never predicted that he would be coach.

Some people thrive in Harsh competition. It can work when you have to get people to throw their body at another player.
Others shut down.

I suspect TDS is highly regretting his decision to change teams.

You talk about standards from day one of pre-season. No player should be shocked or upset if they cop a spray for a poor effort. Thin skin? Play something else.
There is no lack of effort in Da Silva’s game.
He is making simple errors and looks a shell of the player he was at Wests Tigers.
I know it’s hard to feel sorry for him as he chose tj chase the money and leave, but it’s very noticeable the poor treatment he cops from Mitch Moses and no young player putting in plenty of effort deserves that.
The good news is Wests Tigers have no players with that type of poor attitude.
I’ve been critical of Luai’s on field performance, particularly in the first half of last season, but his positive reinforcement attitude far outweighs what you see from Mitch Moses when games are not going to plan.

Absolutely.
I think you are right in saying these coaches you mention are far too intense when things are not going to plan.

Unfortunately TDS deserves the criticism.
Played like a reserve grader.

both coaches have done their teams justice .League is a harsh environment.
Bet your bottom $ galvin had something to do with TDS to get antsy that quick

Early days, but the Moses & Pezet experiment looks flawed. They're too similar in their structure, which makes them very predictable. The biggest problem though was Parra's paper thin defense.

I can't wait for our Easter Monday game.
I’ve already bought my ticket and now I’m looking forward to it even more.

Man Bellamy plays chess while we play checkers.

Parra sign a defensive nightmare at 5/8 and loose lomax.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I predict that they will improve by a huge margin after that effort last night by the time Easter comes along.

I will be very happy if I am proved to be wrong, hope they can set another bench mark by not playing finals footy for another 40 years.

I would actually love to swap Benji and Payton for a season.

I reckon Payton would tighten our defense and work ethic and Benji would click with Drinkwater and the Cows halves...

I know not going to happen. But it would be interesting.

Toddles mite be looking for some freelancing work soon

Effort is subjective. It’s a team sport. Moses is a good to great player but imo a poor leader.
No mate, when you practise for months and you can’t find your half back on tackle 5 that’s poor in rugby league. And since 1908 you’ve copped a gob full.

Tend to agree re Moses personality but he’s not just going to accept his team running near last and playing dumb.

We hold the cards for 2027 because we can activate the club option, so there really is no rush. But you are right there's no harm planning for 2028 and beyond. It would just be nice to have stability AND be a competitive team.
Activating an option for a player who hasn't signed an extension seems like a plan - not! Why extend a player whose mind is elsewhere, that seems pointless and a distraction for everyone. He's not worth another Galvin saga. If he wants to go then let him - someone else will wear the guernsey with pride not just for the sake of dollars.

All the pundits have been talking up Parra for this year. I thought they'd be OK, but wow, never seen a team put the cue in the rack 2nd half of the first game of season, that was pitiful.
Credit where its due Moses was the only one playing 80 mins last night

If we've got someone coming through who is likely to be ready to be first choice starter in 2028 but not 2027 it makes perfect sense to keep the incumbent for 2027. Most players are capable of being professional and playing hard for a club they're leaving.

Case in point: Stephen Crichton signed for the Dogs for 2024 before the start of the 2023 season yet in 2023 he played 24 games for Penrith, was their second highest try scorer and took a starring role in the grand final.

Looked good for about 4 minutes last night, and you know it’s a woeful performance when it’s Stefanos first game over 200 run metres
