Am i missing something or some insight into Jason Purdue and his name on this forum? Has his manager been linked to us in discussions or has he some family connection or whatnot? I’d love him to come here however the frequency of his name appearing here makes me think 🤔 I’ve missed seeing something that makes his potential signing a bit more likely or obvious ?

Mainly my own rumour and wish @TigerNeddyK but I do have information to suggest he’s getting very good offers from a couple of Sydney clubs, so I’m hoping we are one of them.

If you are referring to funds for our junior reps including funds to match offers from rival clubs trying to poach our talent, it is Wests Campbelltown that fund our Wests Magpies teams isn’t it ?
With Wests Ashfield funding Balmain ?
With two profitable clubs finding them, I would have thought we have this covered ?
What that clubs cannot do is find the right coaches and select the best players, that is up to the football department people enployed to get this part right.

I'm fairly sure (but not 100%) that Wests Ashfield fund all our junior rep sides, Ball and Matts for both Balmain and Wests.

I’m 99% sure Wests Campbelltown just funds the MacArthur region clubs, our HM and SG sides are funded by Wests Ashfield. Think it’s been that way since Wests Campbelltown sold their ownership to them back in 2013. Although when it comes to Laurie Daley and Andrew Johns cup I don’t know if they fund that entirely.

I’ve seen a few suggestions of Makasini to fullback and it’s a very interesting possibility.
If Bula leaves we might be forced to make it happen sooner than we think as Makasini is likely to quickly become too valuable to be a winger or centre.
Conner Tracey always rips in and has played plenty of centre at NRL level before joining the Bulldogs, so he also has a bit of utility value.
We too often stay loyal to players while they are developing into quality NRL players and lose them just as they are hitting their prime. That’s the frustrating part of Bula does decide to leave, but I’m not convinced he will leave us for the Bulldogs despite a few forum posts today suggesting otherwise.

I would honestly kick the can down the road . Take up the option for 27 and then look at getting Attard progressing . He will be 21 by the time season 28 rolls around.
It’s only 21 months away . But plenty of time for progression.

Purdue looking to take up UFC because he is an accomplished martial artist. Apparently has already spoken with Dana White and the interest is real. Otherwise he is waiting on the next coach announcement for Cowboys. It is Cowboys or Perth on big money.

I'm quite good friends with The Bula family and they love Benji and want to stay. I have personally spoken to Jahream who said he's not going anywhere but just making sure clauses are in place if HBG pull any further stunts.

No to Connor Tracey. Tries but is lacking uncertain areas. Bula for next 2 years would be good then see how he is going.
