Live in the area and mix with the locals(when they allow me)..and consensus is Manly wld be better off without all 3 of them!!
Jake is regarded as one head knock from retiremet..even if he doesnt(which I wish..hes a really good guy)..he has slowed markedly in both defence and attack.But cant drop a legend
Tommy is regarded as Toa...always injured...and has lost a yard or two of pace.No longer the threat he once was
Ben is a marginal 1st grader
Personally,I dont disagree with them,but theyve got other major problems to confront..their entire spine are rejects except for Turbo

They’ve only started saying that recently.
Matty johns (expert whose opinion I respect on Most things) was championing Jurbo as recently as last season - and relentlessly over the years.
So does Brandy (expert 2).
First time I’ve heard anything that could be considered negatively about him in the press was late last season and after they got beat on the weekend.
Most manly fans I know call me jealous when I shit can him for being so bog ordinary!

For the sake of our Jersey Flegg team we have to hope Bailey Smith is a good halfback.
It’s unlikely either of our SG Ball halfbacks will get a call up being so young.
I thought we signed two Jersey Flegg aged halves, one from Qld the other from NZ. I wonder what’s happened with them ?
I hope Iverson Matai proves me wrong, but I’ve always thought of him as a ball running off the cuff style of 5/8 with a limited kicking game, not a halfback who can take control.
For that reason I think Ben Stevanovic is a good signing as we certainly don’t want Javon Andrews playing 5/8 without a controlling halfback.

Yeah Flegg has Ryder Huth & James Marriott in the squad.
I guess we have a plenthora of young halves playing grades up - Latu (20), Andrews (20), Mason (21), Iverson Matai (turning 22), Max Liles (turning 22) so it would be tough to recruit anyone better than what we have for Flegg.
It's the lower grades that's the worry. No standout rep quality halves from 16s-19s but feel someone like Christian Azzi could blossom.
Seems to me Matai has been treading water here forever,
Can't imagine he's worth perservering with with Madden and Andrews here.
