The presenter on SKY declared Cronulla as the best bet of the weekend this morning.
His reasoning was that Api, KPP and "some other bloke" are out.

Summed up the importance to the team beautifully.

I wonder who that, "some other bloke" might be?

I wonder if it's some creamy bloke that just got re-signed on a multi million dollar contract.

Cronulla, the best bet of the weekend, sounds like Bula shit to me.

Is it worth enquiring about Spencer Leniu? 650k?
Seems way on the outer at Roorters (and has been since Day 1).
Heaps of connections here.
His style would be perfect here as impact with Twal and May able to play long minutes.
Would be in front of Sione, Hunt and Sayfart and our first forward off the bench...

Maybe someone like Jesse Ramien too... We are short one centre and losing confidence in Toa...

Looking at last night's stats it looks like Spencer got 14 minutes and 1 run for 5 metres and 3 tackles with 1 missed tackle - 75% tackle efficiency.

Not knocking Spencer because I would love to see him here but I don't think we can afford him with what we will already have to pay to retain our squad that is on the rise and where do you fit him in.

I'd put Makasini above Bula, if only because if we can lock up Makasini now it could be for a real bargain whereas Bula's next deal is going to be full-whack market value if not more.

Bit of a side note …but If there is one team that I have recollections of them playing a lot at Leichhardt Oval ..it’s the Cowboys …. Feels like I have seen them play in person there a dozen times at least … Titans seem to be next on the list … last few years anyway ..

Samuela and Latu will stay. Cant seem them leaving Sione. Manase will also be released from jail soon and they will want to be around him.

I’d say the most likely to leave would be Makasini given the money Rugby Union can offer.

Fonua Pole is and will be much more important than some of us realise.
Of all the props 23 or under this year across the NRL, I’d say he is number 1 and not many young props run the ball as strongly as what he does.
Supposedly very close with Bula and their partners/wives are sisters, so you would think if Bula stays, it’s a big chance Pole does too.

We don't have any hard running forwards in the juniors.

Luani Tuifua is a big, tall unit who runs the ball very powerfully and makes very good impact most times he cones on the field off the bench.
He could be our Royce Hunt succession plan.
