I don’t think no other team would take Starford for free even if we agreed to keep paying his full wages unfortunately.

I’d say the most likely to leave would be Makasini given the money Rugby Union can offer.

My gut instinct says Roosters will offer Makasini a massive deal. They love players like him and always have cap space ... somehow.

I’m sure there are specific conditions for a medical retirement. Not just something you can use when you don’t like how a player is travelling

I’ve looked it up, medical retirement needs to be agreed to by the player and also the NRL

You pretty much need to be unable to play at all, Toa is not at that level so I think we are stuck with him for the next 3 years unless we ship him to PNG
