I was watching NSW Cup on the weekend and a couple of my sons mates playing told me something if its true Benji and Shannon have pulled off a big coup beating a heap of NRL clubs chasing one of our old juniors. I got told Mikey Nasser is heading back to us in 2027.

I have seen some of his tries this year and he is bigger and quicker than when he left. I am trying to get a list of stats that they showed me where he is leading the avg metres and tackle busts for the whole Jersey Flegg comp.

It’s too early to make any call on Lanyon at this stage … let’s just see what transpires over the weeks and months of this season where he will get a lot more opportunity … if people weren’t impressed with his debut last week…i don’t know what you are watching …

If we could get by with him for 2027 as the backup 9, that would be great ..I assume the young kid coming through ( Haywood) should be ready to fill in as well with another offseason and 12 months more experience under his belt ..

I checked his stats and Lanyon played 56 minutes with 2 missed tacklers …not bad …there is no need to play him 80 minutes a game …

Every player in our team plays to the best of their ability At Leichhardt Oval as it’s the only place we get any favours from the referees and because of this we generally have most of the ball possession and are not playing under pressure.
It’s a very different game when not having field position dominance and more than 50% ball possession.

Some dude on the wests tigers podcast forum reported that Averillo is potentially headed to the dragons, source, league live app.

Can’t say I’m familiar with the League live app .., If he has signed the WT deal as was heavily rumoured/ reported … it normally comes down to a choice between the current team trying to get him to backflip or him moving onto the originally signed team .., can’t recall a time when the player has back flipped and then joined a third team they would have originally rejected .,,but I guess anything is possible …

As much as I love Leichhardt I’m not sure this is a good thing, I believe part of why the players get right up for it and the fans pack it and are vocal is because we only play there a few times, I’m not certain we would get 18k there every week, as well there’s always next week. Thoughts?

He was a fullback throughout his schoolboys and junior rep years at Balmain. Plays anywhere in the backline 1,2,3,6

Agree. But Averillo and May would be a red hot centre pairing. Big dramas for the opposition both sides of the field.

I think they will do a 7 Cambo 4-5 LO split going forward after the renos …

You gotta remember,,, they get the crap teams now at LO….all the out of Sydney teams….and still pack it out these days …
