Jock is one, who you counting as half a half? We don’t like too many 7’s at this club.
AD? Latu? Or do we have someone in lower grades? All I see is 5/8’s trying to be a half. Although some of you guys that go to all the lower grade games said Andrews killed it at 7 on the weekend.
Anyway I agree with your point just wanted to know who you reckon might be the other actual 7 is?

I make it 3 in the Top 30:… AD, Latu and Jock… JL can fill in too if need be..why do need a 4th specialist when we have a lot of other weaknesses and a tight cap?

Depends how tight our cap is really. I think it was Adel on one of the podcasts said we are at our limits. You would think any swaps (although these things are always spoken about but rarely happen) would need to be players on similar wages.

Spencer isn't 800k now. Yet we need to be talking about upgrading our side.

Spencer would be an upgrade on Hunt, Seyfarth and many of our impact props.
Penisini would be an upgrade on Herbert/Starford... No, not better the Averillo but an upgrade on what we have.

Odd theory: Cooper Clarke did not fit Marshall's fast mobile pack idea. I think the club stuffed up, however it may be that Marshall is building a faster pack. If that is the case we won't go for Spencer Leniu although he would be an upgrade on Hunt/Seyfarth... How you balance that cap? You use Luai money (other then that I am out of ideas).

We need to upgrade our squad and get rid of our fringe.

Would add a huge amount of firepower in an area of NEED NOW. KPP and Sam gone have all but sunk our chances of a run at the 8. Have they got the cap? Royce, Star moving on? Cut the fringe!

Yeah, I expect that the remaining directly registered cap difference between Leniu and Skelton would be around the $150k mark, which is only say, 1.25% of it, and one would hope that there is at least that amount left for contingencies at this point.

Wests Tigers Tv rumour in their discord chat about the possibility of Skelton and Spencer Leinu swap. Skelton is not on the injury list anywhere and has not been named in any grade….

interesting rumour, it did look like Spencer came out with a bit of a chip on his shoulder in that game the roosters played last weekend against the Dolphins. They got toweled however he seemed to be really trying to prove a point....i assumed it was related to not being in the discussion for origin, however it might be related to him being shopped around or wanting out.

Without Samuela Fainu for an extended period and without KPP for the rest of this season, not only are we missing two quality players, but are very limited with tackle break and line break threats on our edges.
The likes of Sione Fainu, Tony Sukkar and Ethan Roberts are all big bodies that offer size and physicality, but none of them are what you would call fleet footed edge back rowers who are genuine line break threats.
For this reason we desperately need to sign somebody who offers this point of difference before June 30. It doesn’t need to be a superstar, just soneone who is reasonably quick for a back rower, runs a good line and not afraid to do it at top speed,
