He'll never get a run with the club after they paid overs keep Bula.

I'd actually put Bula on the wing. Attard's a pure fullback
He'd be a target for attacking kicks and I think he's smart enough to be safe defensively on the wing.
The last 2 games we've been burnt by fullbacks who can do what all fullbacks need to be able to do, make something happen out of half a chance.
Bula will never be that guy, he's safe and he has his one trick pony skill of flying through on attacking kicks, he'd be a fine winger.
But like I said it will never happen now that we've paid him as a fullback

He is nowhere near 1st grade at this stage

Averillo and Blore would definitely improve us, but still not good enough to get us into the top 8, we need a couple more good quality players to add depth.

I think Bula would make a great winger. Daniel Tupou-like.
However we're paying him as an elite fullback and he's not close to that yet.
Hopefully will develop a few more strings to his bow and get there.

That's not the point I'm making.
He will be ready in the next year or so to be the fullback just about every other club has now.
We have committed to a guy who has plateaued at his "safe" non threatening level.
Attard will hit his peak at another club because of that.
(By the way take a look at the size of the new breed of fullbacks, it's the time of the little men like Gray, Kinni, Fuller, Koula, the list goes on)

The guy who turned the game for the Dolphins has played 20 NRL games.
The guy who cut us up last week has played 41 games.

What you see from Bula now is what he will keep delivering.
The good ones are dangerous from game one.

Another slow centre.
You need a few other high quality attacking players surrounding someone who plays on the centres.
Luckily for the Panthers they had plenty of high quality players at the top of their game when winning the Premiership with Tago at right centre in 2024.
