The whole playing for each other and the coach has shifted significantly from earlier in the season. The effort isn't there at all. Injuries definitely had a huge effect. Luai jumping ship had a bigger effect. Then you can throw in possibilities like Twal and Doueihi being our best players but on half the money of other players. That sort of stuff creates issues.

This is not a happy group anymore and there's some underlying issues that are causing problems.

Not the least is Benji the coach.
Now we have Madden at 5/8 and obviously Doueihi has been given the kicking orders.
Madden too slow at 5/8 and no other 5/8 qualities.
He went well early in the year with his varied kicking game and setting up a deep backline for attacking.
Benji has taken his playing attributes away and turned him into a nothing man.
Latu all over the shop, mastering none. Benji the juggler of positional change, with fingers crossed. No real coaching here.
Our current back rowers cannot break a tackle, make a break or have an off load. Neutral outcome on results.
Benji has no attacking plan for the red zone. Nothing. No ideas that work.
Great with the boys, they love him. Good at interviews etc.
But coaching I have some doubts. My fingers are crossed.

I would guess it was likely a HBG direction to Shaun Mielekamp.
It was likely a damage control type decision and in hindsight not a good decision.

Now we are getting somewhere. So it came from HBG.

Idk why Skelton is out of favour, he’s cost us big time this season but so has makasini, tavana and turuva has set the world alight either so why don’t we want to keep him, even only for depth

He done good things, but definitely looks tj be down in confidence.
Tavana looked good again today. He is a player I keep changing my mind about as his lack golf height, lack of speed over 40m or longer and suspect defence are not things that fill you with confidence, but to his credit he looks to have added a bit of size throughout the season and his acceleration and intent over the first 10m is improving and impressive.

Watched KOE today.Wests were good. They flogged the Dragons, thank the lord somebody did. Junior had one high ball mishap but apart from that he was very good quiet a few good strong runs. Latu had a great game what a player. Javon not far behind. Got to say have been enjoying the last few KOE more than NRL. Wests played some really good footy this afternoon. well done boys

not sure if mentioned elsewhere, but blore will sign with the dragons, blew our offer out of water

whocares really, im tempted to go for the bears next year 😂

Disappointing as I thought Blore would be great on our bench as a backrow/middle cover & as a backup backrower for injuries. But we can't overpay.

Samuela & Latu are priorities.

And if we could land a Sam McIntyre type for 'unders', that would enhance our depth to cover both backrow & middle.
