What does TeMaire Martin do what is so much better than someone like Jock Madden?
I will admit I would slightly favour the much older Martin if I had a choice between the 2 of them, but there is very minimal difference in their quality.

What ? I haven’t mentioned Martin ,,.we are talking about Madden..are you losing it mate ?

I don’t think so.
Te Naire Nartin and Chanel Harris-Tavitaxare currently the starting halves for a team that many people are raving about and are bog average.
Does anyone honestly think we would be a much better team with those 2 in our halves?
So Ivan making the point that although are halves are far from perfect and both were very poor last night, our main issues are not within our halves.
What halves including Nathan Cleary can get a team scoring points when they have no attacking weapons and no speed out wide?

TMM is a classy player and always has been.

Very underrated and plays with so much calmness. Think Madden isnt on the same level. At all.

I disagree. It’s is clear as day that we can match most teams in the middle, we can get up field ok, but as soon as we get into the red zone we have nothing. No set plays, no structure, no clear plan. Every time we get a fast play the ball in the 20 our halves give the ball to Twal or May and AD doesn’t pass unless there is nothing on.

It’s the halfbacks job to call the plays, and to get the team into position to run those plays.

So we should have signed him when he was still available late last year and all our problems would have been resolved.
He is a decent player, no world beater and that is evident by him spending a large part of his career playing Reserve Grade.

I agree our middles are decent, particularly when Pole plays like he did last night.
An underdone Sam Fainu was our only attacking threat on an edge or out wide, not sure what our halves are supposed to do when that is the case?
Sone things they can certainly do better such as a much better kicking game, much better 5tg tackle options and defend much better, but as far as scoring points they are getting next to no help from our edges and outside backs.

He cannot make slow players fast or players not capable of making tackle or line breaks all of a sudden be able to make tackle breaks and line breaks, he has never had that problem with his Panthers teams.
It was a glaring problem before this season started, an even more glaring problem over the past 4-6 weeks and we continue to overlook it, so not much will change next season at this rate.
Injuries are going to happen every season, so depth is crucial and even more crucial to teams like us who have no elite attacking players , so rely on a 17 man effort every week.

A few weeks ago To’a beat five defenders to score, when he got some early ball.

AD doesn’t like passing.

We need a halfback.

I can see some argument in the fact our oustide men dont provide enough strike to help out halves, however one thing i am certain of is the argument the other way around is a lot more relevant here. Our halves give our outside men no hope.
