I get the sentiment, but what is gained? All he does is give surface level answers. There’s no real great insight.

I'm tired of hearing how fantastic these juniors are but they are being mismanaged.
Joseph Suaalii is a real standout junior. You could tell the minute he laced up a boot in first grade. There was no time to "mismanage" him.
Tedesco, Sonny Bill, Cleary, Farah, Sam Fainu, Moses....you could see they belonged from day 1.
We don't produce these juniors in any meaningful quantity if at all.
But the word "produce" assumes there is some way to manufacture talent reliably. I don't think there is...I think you're still relying on kids that have the natural ability first and foremost...the polish comes easy because they are just that much better than others.
South west is a myth. We talk about it like we have this valuable farm that produces the best Wagyu beef in the world and all we need to do is fatten them up for slaughter and we have a valuable commodity.
Hopefully reality punches a few in the face so we can stop this nonsense. The Roosters and Melbourne have no juniors but they identify these kids and bring them in to learn their system. They don't have this idea that they can own an area and it will just magically produce talent because the population is growing...news flash...the population is growing everywhere in Australia to the tune of about 400k people a year. They are majority Indians and Chinese...fact.
The South West ain't that special.

You raise an interesting point above mate, I've always pondered the flipside to we have ruined their development.
Maybe their dominance of the lower grades is their ceiling and they're just not that talented.

To hold his position in a strong Storm side during his tenure suggests that either Bellamy is a poor judge of a footballer or, Meaney is not close to the worst player in the NRL. I've always believed him to be a player I would like at WTs. He improved incrementally at the Storm, plays mainly centre these days and has the vital commodity - genuine pace.

Hes a consistent player that can play multiple positions and kicks goals.
Hes solid.
Grant Anderson though, last week - that was one of the worst performances I've seen in a while.
Overall I think he has been poor this season. Has been solid the past few seasons in a few different positions, however with some of the Storm key players missing this season he hasn’t been effective.
He seems a bit player in a good team, therefore probably not a great signing for us.

He was solid but has been awful this year & single-handedly cost them the game vs the Dogs. My storm fan mate’s packed his bags to Perth weeks ago lol

There was an expectation Benji Marshall’s coaching staff could be in for a shake-up at the end of the season, and it now appears a fait accompli after the Tigers’ collapse this season.
Despite his close friendship with the Tigers’ 2005 premiership winners who are on his staff, including Brett Hodgson and Chris Heighington with Pat Richards as football manager, it’s almost inevitable Marshall will have an “outsider” as part of his set-up next year.
The Tigers used the bye week to take stock after the Adam Doueihi saga and expect Marshall to sound out some candidates soon.
