I don't think it is so much an outlier (yes, it was a little bit statistically) but for mine it is more of an indication he has always had it in him. His last 2 years are statistically pretty similar when factoring for games played as his first 2 year at Roosters (both premiership years as well so arguably more attacking chances).

Yes, Numbers increase greatly for him in the following years at Roosters. But attacking stats increased greatly across the board with the introduction of the 6 again rule. How much can we put down this jump in attacking stats to Tedesco improving his ball playing compared to simply being a good ball player in a dominant side in a competition that has been changed and heavily skewed towards attack and heavily favouring dominant teams?
We will never truly know the answer but for mine the numbers he put up in a struggling team suggests he was already a very good ball player before arriving at the Roosters.
Having said that I do believe little aspects of his game improved. As I mentioned earlier he was taught how to set a defensive line. Repeat efforts which would indicate improved fitness. You've mentioned resilience. How much is specialist coaching, how much is the professionalism of the environment and how much is it the professional of the Individual naturally improving with maturity?

I think it was mostly the environment over there.
It is the most successful career move I’ve seen in this sport.

Was hoping McIntyre would come to us to be a bench forward & 1st drop 2nd row depth. Not much out there who could fill this void for us ahead of Sukkar & Roberts.

Maybe Jaidyn Hunt or left-field option is Bayley Sironen currently in QCup with Wynnum Seagulls.

Has done well on the Broncos edge past 2 weeks. Solid, experienced & doesn’t shirk his task defensively. Reckon Madge will extend him but with Blore heading there as a similar type, he may see a better opp with us.

nntheg spot some talent not currently playing regular NRL, but definitely good enough to be playing regular NRL.
Plenty that fot this description if they look hard enough.

We’ve re-signed the Mays, Bula and Turuva most of whom are playing in badly beaten Tigers teams. We are losing our captain and highest paid player but have signed only a centre.

I’ve supported this team for 60 years and know only too well that we need to get at least another half dozen ‘decent’ first graders to be competitive.

Been calling for Jayden hunt for two years now .

He is a big mobile unit who probably hasn’t played as much NRL as he deserved to play throughout his career and we could certainly do worse, but he will be 29y.o in 2027, so I think we should be looking for younger or better options to in improve our edge back row depth.
There are a few good performers in the Qld Cuo seeking an opportunity, but the likes of our former player Kelma Tuilagi who is a proven tackle buster/line breaker at NRL level, Joe Chan who is also a proven tackle buster/line breaker at NRL level and a few younger options looking for an opportunity such as Elijah Salesa-Leaumoana an emerging big, strong and athletic back rower who is stuck behind a few good ones at the Knights, Logan Spinks an emerging big, strong and athletic back rower stuck behind a few good ones at the Bulldogs, Max McCathie who is strong, fast, athletic and a great defender, but stuck behind a few good ones at the Roosters and Dylan Coutts who is also tall, strong, fast and athletic. I watched him play a great game for the Sharks in the 2024 Jersey Flegg GF, he is currently at the Dragons, stuck behind a few good ones, but now starting to show good progression and likely seeking a better opportunity.
The whole 3 back rowers currently playing for North Sydney Bears are fat, athletic and have something to offer, particularly Matt Stimson who is an ex centre and after a few battle hardened seasons of NSW Cup is now becoming a dominant attacking threat and a reliable defender every game. Very confident he will succeed at NRL level given an opportunity.
