To compete with the better sides we urgently need a 6 or 7 with a quality kicking game. It is the most important part of the game. At present we are at least 20m short of what’s required. From the very little I have seen of Andrews and Latu, both do not have long defensive kicking games.

Andrews does .. very similar long kick to ADs

Yep, I think we've now formed some better depth there leading into next year.

If our starters are Maka (wing), Alverilo, May and Turuva, then in depth we have Tupou, Skelton (resign), Herbert, Tavana & Sakuru (resign).

If Bula is our long term fullback I'd like him to develop a kicking game. Never seen him try to kick anything other than a grubber but his physique looks suited to kick long.

No way to Joe Chan. You could find a dozen better in Reggie's.

We desperately need a back rower with good leg speed.
We have absolutely no back rowers in our top 30 roster with above average leg speed whatsoever, hence the reason I’d say Benji is starting to warm to the idea of possibly developing Heath Mason as an impact style of 13 with high leg speed.
Ideally we need another back row option with above average leg speed, even if we retain Heath,

Scans today same as Sam F , probably know tomorrow , also not sure on Twally injury or how serious , it must be pretty bad as he didn’t go back on , most players get a few stickers and tape up , so could be nasty

Twal is ruled out of the Cowboys game and I’d say Samuela is also very unlikely, so we will be heading to Townsville very under strength unfortunately.

Physique suited to kick long,
So he looks body wise like Ricky Stuart & Mitch Moses who I think are/were Long Kickers not forgetting Adam Reynolds 😂

Seems WT cannot cop a break from the injury gods. We certainly have not been helped, even the injuries seem more longer term mostly than a little niggle and off for a week or so.
