Gee we have been very quite on the signing front, i hope that our club don't think our juniors will get us up the ladder, we need to be active on the player signing and bring in 3-5 1st grade players in each and every year going forward or i feel we will be in the bottom 4 every year going forward.

It's actually the exact opposite of that. We will never be competitive if we try to build a full roster in free agency, in fact what we need is a production line of first grade talent - from fringe to superstar - coming through the juniors. The teams that are consistently good only sign free agents to answer specific questions or top up what they produce themselves. Crap clubs keep thinking the next two or three flashy, expensive signings are going to solve all their problems.

For those who don't watch the QLD Cup, the name Tane Kiriona might not be known to you. But after his season for the Central QLD Capras, he will become hot property for NRL clubs in very quick fashion.
Having arrived via a train-and-trial deal with the Dolphins in 2025, the young forward endured a tough first season in Central QLD. Having taken several lessons from a gruelling initiation in QLD football, the 23-year-old former QLD U19 representative has become the first picked on the team sheet and a consistent performer for the Dolphins affiliate club.
So much is his improvement, Kiriona was the recipient of The League Scene's prestigious Will Partridge Medal for the best player in the QLD Cup this season.
His performance for the Capras in clinching a top four finish was sensational on the weekend. The forward scored a try, ran for over 160 metres, busted seven tackles and made 32 without missing. More importantly, the Capras continued a five-game winning streak having lost twice since Round 13.
To put Kiriona's season into context, it's important to acknowledge his improvement year-on-year. Last season, he averaged 77 metres a game, had 30 tackle breaks and three offloads. This season, his numbers are off the charts, averaging 126 metres a game, busting 52 tackles and 21 offloads.
Given the glut of edge backrowers on the market, the improvement in the former Raiders second-rower will surely not go unrecognised as clubs look to add the final pieces to their 2027 rosters.

Did you forget that Api was literally chosen to play Origin this year? Sure, Tallyn has a habit of finding tries but please tell me what other areas of his game are even remotely close to Api? The disrespect that Api gets from our fanbase is a joke sometimes.
He might be that more agile and athletic edge back rower that we need for depth and variety.
