Thinking Wests Tigers is very much a contingency plan for Frizell if Newcastle cannot find the roster spot & dollars for him. Usually clubs will make it happen so not expecting Frizell to join us as much as he'd be great.

Mann imo is tied to what Doueihi does. If AD does decide to leave, then Mann comes is as that lock/halves utility. Funnily enough same manager lol

Sean O'Sullivan is likely just Moses putting his client's name forward for 2028 given Madden is off contract. But I think Tyrone May is more likely then anyway.
 
Seems like there are annual links to Frizell. He and his family seem very established in Newy, would be hard to get him out.

Probably adds more on and off the field than Afoa. Although these types of signings don't tend to work out very well for us.
 
Damn it's lean picking out there. With the inclusion of new teams it's only going to get worse for us.

Frizell is old as heck but off the bench id rate him over most of our other options for a year, until our younger forwards are NRL ready. Hes better than Royce Hunt and Bunty.

We do lack discipline, professionalism and leadership in the middle, all of which he provides. He appears very fit still.

Tyrone May will be 33 mid 2028 - Give him a 3 year deal though and sign his granchildren up. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🍻🍻🍻

Would it he worthwhile having a crack at Mitchell Woods come Nov.1? Havent seen much of him this year. Ciro seems all in on Galvin at 7. Can you imagine the blowup at the Dogs if we got him over...

Yep Knights just don’t have the roster spot to fit Friz in at the moment

Looks like Knights & their fans want to keep him even with all their good backrowers + Nikoure coming, but not good enough for here apparently lol
 
I don't see the hate for mann tbh. He is a solid first grader
Nothing flash but would easily make our side. Very consistent and would add another utility to averillo that can cover alot of spots. Imo that was a massive weakness this year with us having to shuffle our line up weekly due to not having someone to alot into a needed spot
 
IF we signed players such as Tyson Frizell and Kurt Mann 2 or 3 years ago they would have been great signings, but age catches up with everyone unfortunately and Frizell will be 35y.o turning 36 in October 2027, while Mann will be 34y.o as of March 2027.
Not forgetting Api Korisau will be 34y.o and turning 35 in November 2027.

All great players who are getting old and unlikely they will be able to perform anywhere near their best for much longer.

Latu all over again. I think he’s a stud on his day but availability is your best ability.

if Isaah Yeo and/or Liam Martin end up going to free agency we need to offer them the house. doesn’t matter what it takes.
