What I will say about Cody though. I always point to Thurston as the perfect example of a guy that played a year too long. Watching him in his final year was sad cos he had totally lost it. And the year before he was totally fine. It just happens over night at that age. Just because Cody was exceptional this year does not guarantee at 37 he’ll still be at the same level. He’s not going to come here anyway, so it’s pointless even discussing it.

Yeah I remember that well. I actually thought the same thing would happen to DCE but he has surprised me this season. He wasn’t great in his final year with Manly, looked slow. Mind you playing in a team chock full of Origin and international players would make it a bit easier I’m sure. I think Cody should probably call it a day though.

I don’t know for sure but with number plate recognition I think his vehicle may have flagged and prompted the test

You could see the difference in defensive effort and positioning between KP and Dufty big time last night. Dufty’s nowhere near nrl scratch imo
