You can’t tell me most of the ‘superstars’ in that team are playing for the love of the jersey only. The money is coming from somewhere and yet they can ALWAYS afford to fit in more top line players. Roosters find a way because they are an astute club with quality business connections. This means 3rd party contracsts and life after football..

We have HBG. What is their business network like? I honestly dont know. But if the way they do business is any indicator, their business relationships are probably dog shit.

Herbie could go to the roosters for less money, but because the business relationships are fans of the club, he'd walk into a job the moment he stops playing football. What does this club offer?

Exactly they would get nothing out of it but lose control of an NRL club they have no business controlling
