He was their first choice 9, with Smith in reserve grade towards the end of the season. He's also still just 21 years old. So not only is your info wrong, you're willing to write off a kid at an age where most in his position have played very little NRL.

Yeah I agree, I think TDS is quality and a real lose to the Tigers, he's very highly rated by many and still young. He's quicker then some of our wingers for starters.

Lets hope Haywood can come on like TDS has.

Would anyone take Stefano back for the right price?

I'd take just about any player for the right price, including him as a team can basically never have too many top grade level props.

That said, based on his improvement, particularly this season, retaining Pole would be my priority.

Folks have been throwing Haywood's name around to make them feel better about the club letting Da Silva go. Haywood is in the Mozer realm of defensive liability. He has a lot of ground to make up before he's an NRL #9.

He did but he improved and I think we let one go there, he's a quality footballer and going very well for a young guy and has enormous potential.

Were all in with Haywood and he has plenty of upside, so lets hope.

Players are never truly gone. We can always getting him back. Granted, always a bit tougher, but thats why it was important to leave on the right terms.

We also signed Taylan after releasing Tallyn - maybe that doesn’t happen without the spot opening up.

I’m comfortable in the wash up,
Api as 1st choice hooker, Haywood coming through in a year or 2 and May signed long term.
Taylan is probably our best attacking player.

Good summation of that whole TDS situation and who can blame him for taking the money that was on offer, we did not stand in the way of an opportunity he was offered and we were never going to match the dollars that the Parra-sites were offering.

Horrific decision by Richardson to let TDS go when he was already contracted through until yesterday, which left our team clinging to nothing but Hope.

Add him and anywhere near those dozen tries in our side this season and I reckon that alone would have been enough to keep us in reasonable contention when Api was out, plus winning a good few more matches when rotating.

How is he a backup when he started the back half of the season?

Ryley Smith was in reserve grade for half of the year
