Why didnt walker accept $1.4m to stay at the Chooks

Not a lot makes sense I know...walker to dogs makes little sense but i can see Roosters wanting Burton

It’s very obvious the Roosters are low grubs who try and bully and vilify their players into accepting lowball contracts and if it’s not going to plan they then use their media friends to make them out to be the victims.
Any player with half a brain would be clearly seeing what grubs they are and stay well away.
Good on Sam Walker for not giving in to their bullying and pressurising tactics.

I must be missing something as it's not obvious to me. Seems pretty simple. 3 months of negotiations and Sam wouldn't accept their maximum offer so they've walked away from negotiations.

Seems Hooper is pushing that story, I feel he makes stuff up to hang on to relevance. I can’t see Burton as a 6 for the Roosters

A swap of Walker with the Cowboys for Dearden for 2027 makes a lot more sense but doesn’t really free anything up for us

if Deardan stays at cowboys he gets roughly 1.8 million with ratchet clauses, dont think roosters can pay that !
