Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

625,000 for 4years for a current reserve grader with not a lot of FG experience? Sounds bit risky. But don't really trust these figures.

good evening to all …
it looks like we are seriously chasing Lolohea...
ivan wants him to play 5/8 for the rest of this year and release mitchell
moses to parra , and next year when Reynolds arrives , he'll play Lolohea
at FULLBACK!!!

Yes it was reported on 2sm…deal all but done will be at tigers in 2 weeks

Wow, he looks explosive and a real weapon! I was in Peru last year and haven't seen him play. I'd be very happy if the Tigers signed up this level of talent! 2.5 mil for four years sounds reasonable if he can reproduce the form shown in the highlight reel. But is he out of favor at the Warriors because of attitude issues?

Sounds a lot…im sure thats not an accurate figure

Has anyone thought about Tyrone Roberts?
Off contract goal kicker played good at fullback while Hayne was injured.

whilst his stats are good they arent much better than MM when comparing 2016
Not sure if he would have even been considered by Cleary

Agree think he'll be a good signing around the 350k mark not $625k but the way these figures are floating about i doubt thats accurate.

Don't know if we want to many of those warriors and New Zealander players
(Matulino, Vete, Lolohea, Johnson, Packer)

They all seem a bit inconsistent.

Having said that I would take Lolohea and Matulino.

I would like us to pick up Passi, Packer, Edwards, CHN.

Wouldn't also mind Goodwin as well for a veteran wing and goal kicker option.

Lolohea & Milne not sold on but wouldn't have any problem with them joining as they are better than pur current sqaud players.

7 news saying Ferguson and Tupou to stay at the Roosters. Hopefully means we can try get Watson or Mitchell…

The Roosters can't keep everyone. Wait a minute….

Mitchell is the one I'd be chasing here. We're interested in Watson but the Roosters aren't keen on releasing him.

Definitely Mitchell first out of the two. Watson a decent footballer too.

Mitchell at fullback for sure

Wests Tigers target Warriors utility Tuimoala Lolohea as James Tedesco replacement

Wests Tigers have targeted Tuimoala Lolohea as the man to replace James Tedesco in a potential mid-season move that would allow Mitchell Moses to immediately shift to Parramatta.

The Tigers have wasted little time in replacing the departing members of the "big four", signing Warriors prop Ben Matulino as a replacement for Belmore-bound Aaron Woods and Josh Reynolds to fill the void left by Moses from next year. The joint-venture outfit still has the salary cap space required to find a suitable replacement for Tedesco at fullback and is making enquiries about the availability of another out-of-favour Warrior, Lolohea.

If Lolohea asks for, and is granted, a release he would immediately begin his Tigers tenure in the halves alongside Luke Brooks. Lolohea's arrival would expedite the release of Moses to Parramatta, whose requests to immediately join the Eels have so far been blocked.

The move would seemingly provide benefits for all parties, including the Warriors, who would be able to shift a highly paid reserve grader off their books.

Lolohea can play anywhere in the backline and rival clubs have been watching his situation with interest. South Sydney and North Queensland view him as a potential fullback, while Canberra believe his versatility makes him the ideal super sub from the bench. However, the cashed-up Tigers appear the best fit as they are the only club that can provide him with an opportunity to resume his first-grade career this season.

The Tigers had investigated the availability of Connor Watson and Te Maire Martin, although both will be staying put for now. The Roosters weren't prepared to release Watson, while Martin was a potential option until Reynolds signed.

If the Tigers miss out on Lolohea, they may have a ready-made replacement in-house. Winger David Nofoaluma, who only just signed a contract extension, is an option to shift to fullback.

**_The Tigers have already secured a mid-season transfer after Penrith agreed to release Malakai Watene-Zelezniak_**. The Panthers back, the brother of Kiwi international Dallin, fulfilled a lifelong dream when he made his NRL debut alongside his younger sibling.

Malakai was one of the beneficiaries when Matt Moylan, Waqa Blake and Peta Hiku were dropped for disciplinary reasons for the game against South Sydney. "MWZ" has been working part-time as a security guard to supplement his income, but the switch may allow him to focus on football full-time.

Ivan Cleary has only been at the club a few weeks but already his rebuild is taking shape. The Tigers have been armed with a war chest of almost $4 million after missing out on the signatures of Woods, Tedesco and Moses, and Cleary hasn't struggled to attract big-name recruits.

The side has won two of its three games with Cleary at the helm but will face another stiff challenge against defending premiers Cronulla at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday.

Down grade on Teddy. But would be good if we didn't pay overs.
Heard he is a bit of a knob(on here) but so are many young footy players.
