Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Having a backrow of Guerra, McQueen, Taylor and Lawrence on the bench or wherever, would be pretty dull. All workers with little impact. You need at least one member of your back row to pose a threat when they touch the ball. Maybe not in the Taumololo realm, but someone similar who can run over the top/around his opponent when given half a chance.

Normally id agree. However if we get tilne, he and suli are 100kgs, they break the line, can move and make an impact. so having two workhorses who can get the ball to these two would make it reasonable.

But if their inside men don't offer any threat with the ball in hand the defence can focus and man up on our 'strike' players. You need to spread the threat to leave the defensive line second guessing themselves.

They are still a threat. Just need to use there experience and play the right lines and offloads.
I would rather a bigger player though..

I agree. We need some impact in our back row.

Team … we still need to go after a goal kicker ?? any suggestions ?? I'm not keen of Holland from the Dogs.

Just saw another video on Tyson Gamble from the Redclife Dolphins, who joins us in 2018 - 20 years old - 6'2" tall - 94kgs - 5/8, centre, fullback. Looks to be very versatile, size, speed, step and a handy kicking game .. wonder if he can goal kick ??

Gamble is a long shot to play NRL footy in 2018\. If we don't sign someone better Josh Reynolds might kick goals.

With our lack of signings we might have to take that Gamble.

thats a negative. got to be someone out there.

Do we know that? How many of us would have guessed Pat Richards was a good goal kicket first time he was with us? I do hope we sign a full-time kicker but Reynolds may not be the poor choice people think.

Guerra no thanks. Need to avoid signing for the sake of it. Focus should be on a Fullback, prop and winger one of who can kick goals. After that should wait and see who the musical chairs at other clubs leaves standing when the music stops

SG- thoughts on Adam Elliot from the Dogs?? I quite like him, good size, decent motor and will only get better the more minutes he plays. Coming off contract also.

Thoughts on goal kickers….I quite like Holland but alot of people on here dont rate him. Personally the guy can kick goals and he is underrated player.

Heard that Parramatta are favorites to sign tedesco now and if that is true we may get Gutherson in return and he ain't a bad kicker.

Hearing strong mail we have made an offer to Jordan Kahu that is about 250k higher than any other offer he has received and he is short odds to sign.

I would be really happy with that. Kicks goals and safe. Comes from a winning culture.

Been here before though (for a very short time). Would he come back?
