You'd think Newcastle would throw the kitchen sink at him. He is their marquee player.

@ said:The tigers need to put away the chequebook and suck up the consequences of their poor recruitment and retention policy in years gone by.
There are now suggestions we are paying big overs for players that are not proven first graders (or possibly proven as non first graders) like Lolohea, or scraping the bottom of the barrel for people like Eastwood or others trying to extend a mediocre career by a year or two.
The tigers should follow the lead of the knights and sign up the young talent within the club long term, while looking for cast offs and young players from other clubs that will provide value for money.
Throwing big money at 30 year olds on long term contracts is a recipe for disaster.

Somehow I don't think our policy with young talent worked too favorably…
@ said:Hey all,
Another day at work spending more time reading the forum rather than actually working, lucky i'm the boss. normally just like to read everyone's comments, but i thought i would throw a couple names out there as suggestions. First is a former tiger now playing in the ESL, quiet surprised to find out his still only 26, what about Ben Murdoch Masila, At 117kgs he has the size, he also had the skill, from memory just a bit lazy. Also another out there suggestion would be Justin Horo.
So should i just stick to reading rather than posting?

Welcome to the forum mate…
I would take BMM back, it's now a top 30 and you need that depth. If he can make a statement in second grade, he can get a call up.

Thanks Milky, pleasure to be here. BMM is a kiwi and Ivan seems to have a liking for them, at 26 I reckon he would be worth a shot, right age for prop, wouldn't command huge dollars, might want one last chance.
