All the Bulldogs fans are certain Rona is going to Canterbury. :blah :blah

Cap, what cap

Cap is for the other clubs not named bulldogs, roosters and broncos.

Would seem so

Their is no solid source saying rona will end up at the bullsdogs its wishful thinking if anything and buy the sounds of it rona was kicking and screaming for a release(which he got) will 1yr left on his bulldog contract to go the force if thats the case then he can stay in perth or where ever he wants go we are soughted for backs i would rather cleary and pascoe go hard for a strike 2nd rower and a couple props.

Cleary considering bringing in another of his old crew in Sam Mckendry, it's early stages & a few factors to consider. But dependent on his recovery & the right $$ it could happen. He's contracted till 2019 but with Panthers situation Tigers could get him on the cheap end.

Thanks mate.

Mckendry so busted tho doubt we would get much footy out of him.

Interesting panthers until 2019

I know Sam well, unless something has drastically changed he is not leaving the Panthers.

Sounds like you haven't checked in with Sam recently? No offence, I just mean by your comment you clearly haven't ruled out the possibility of a recent drastic change.

If you said "I asked him yesterday, he does not have plans to go anywhere", that is an entirely different thing.

And you wonder why people don't comment often? Apologies, I'll keep my knowledge to myself from now.

Don't get me wrong, i would love hime to play for us and speak to him often about it, but as i say, as when he was linked to Newcastle, has no intention to leave the Panthers.

Sorry I didn't mean to make you feel testy, I was being earnest. Someone here said we were looking at him, that's taken with a grain of salt and even still it doesn't mean McKendry is aware of it.

But you said unless there was a drastic change, he's not leaving. It leaves the door open that there could have been a drastic change, it's not been ruled out, and perhaps that change was the Tigers going for him.

I feel I've learned this year that when it comes to contract news, drastic changes are quite possible.

Where's Super League correspondent Wildie? I would like to get his take on this guy.

I'd imagine he'd be a ISP signing.

I wonder what would happen if social media imploded…

Naughton payed a couple of years with the Rorters 20's went back to Hull and the sent him on loan to Leigh ...gone back to Hull but hasn't played in a while...

He played under 20s for the roosters a few years ago …

Curtis Naughton is a pacey outside back who is equally adept on the wing or at full-back.

Starting his career at Bradford Bulls, making one Super League appearance for the West Yorkshire side as a 19-year-old.

He moved with his family to Australia in 2014 and signed for NRL giants Sydney Roosters.

After a year playing for the Roosters’ Academy side, Naughton returned to England to join the Black and Whites and made an immediate impact.

He scored two hat-tricks in 2015 against Castleford Tigers and St Helens respectively and went on to establish himself as a first-team player again in 2016.

Lurker reporting we're front runners for Watson, Gordon, Rona and Koroibete.

If true, big IF, exactly how many backs are we planning on purchasing?

We've definitely got: Tui, Suli, Nofo, Milne, Fonua, Thompson, MWZ, Brooks, Reynolds
Maybe losing Naiqama, question mark on Idris
To add 4 more winger/fullbacks, that would put us at 13 confirmed backs for 7 positions.

Tui replaces Tedesco. Milne replaces Idris.
Rona would replace Kev. Thompson replaces Rankin.
MWZ replaces Justin Hunt. Suli replaced Simona.
Reynolds replaces Moses. Fonua replaces JAC.

We can only sign one of Rona or Koro. If we sign Gordon it would be for 1 year to give Tui time and a mentor. Watson signing would be as a utility.

We need a prop and a quality backrower before signing additional backs. I can't see any truth to signing all these players.

I think Ivan Cleary's experience as a fullback as well as being an experienced goal kicker would be enough to mentor Tui personally, Gordon just doesn't fit in our side unless we don't snag Curtis Rona or Koro, which hopefully isn't the case.

We have little to no depth in the backs, especially with genuine pace. While I don't believe Gordon would be good for us, Korobeite, Watson and Rona would walk into our NRL team.
