Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

In the changed circumstances both WT & Marshall find themselves in, I have no problems with offering Benji a reasonable contract. I think he has shown he can be a mentor and would be a depth player. Pity he hasnt tried the hooker role.

It definitely shouldn't be 400k but 200-300k would probably be fair value. He looks to me as good or better than our halves at the moment.

Has the bus become the free pensioner community transport?
Rochow has similar issues to Sue in that he is too slow for the edge and too small for the middle.
Can we get Frankenfurter with Benji if we are going to do the timewarp again

So Benji is too old, Rochow isn't good enough and Gibbs is unproven. Who exactly would you like us to sign given we're running 2nd last, need to fill a roster and have a salary cap?

I agree with you. **Fair dinkum, some contributors on this site would boo Santa Claus**. Given the talent available, Rochow is a solid buy. Not spectacular, but solid. Benji would be a great buy at the right price. He'll love finishing his career at WT and will be terrific backup for a number of backline positions.

Accurate representation of some of the people on here. _*Language warning*_

So the Broncos value Benji at 100K but Wests Tigers should pay 200-300K,,Gee Earl that doesn't seem like sound Cap management…

Player value varies from team to team.
Of course Benji is going to be worth less at a team that has Milford.

I guess that's why the successful Clubs are successful…they don't pay overs for back up..Wests Tigers pay guys like Lemar Liolevave 300K for 2 games...

Ideally we get him and 200k-300k on the cap for a player playing as well as he is I think a good deal. It's also an area that we are weak in.

I'm cool with it.

Big whispers about Benji returning next year…

Good pickup if true.

Benji returning I believe has benefits both on and off the field.
Ivan in the press conference after the Penrith game alluded to the fact that the halves could benefit from some mentoring. And who better than the Tigers best ever player.
Ivan with his past and successful experience of rebuilding teams will only offer Benji what he feels he is worth.

Is there any real indication that Benji would even want to came back here? I imagine he's pretty happy playing in a successful team at the moment.

IF…..Benji was to come back, does anyone know if he is eligible for the long serving player allowance?

Curiosity question - Does that remain if a player leaves the returns or does the clock restart.

Rowdy will want to hurry up and score that try so he can be the clubs highest try scorer for at least a few months

With Josh Reynolds seemingly becoming a little injury prone, it would make perfect sense to bring Benji home.Even at Benjis age, he could bring plenty of flair that we are currently missing. Lawrence would get to run the "Gaz Ellis" lines and with options of Suli on one side and Masters on the other, i could think of worse things to happen to this club.

Rumours that Sezer is leaving the Raiders who have salary cap issues. He went well at the Titans but lost it at the Raiders.
