Good news if true both have been playing well. If true we must be up to 26 players out of 30 signed for next year

25 by my counting so 5 spots left.

5 spots
Hooker
Prop
Backrower
Fullback
Outside back

Why do we need another hooker with Liddle and Mcilwrick (Emergency - JT can slot in).

Full back we have Lolo - Kev, Nofo, Thompson and Benji can cover in an injury situation.

Prop and backrower would be nice, granted. Not available at the moment, so let's wait for the right ones.

Outside back - we have Nofo, MWZ, Fonua, Thompson, Suli, Milne, Masters and Benji again - how many do we need?

We need outside backs with some speed I recon. Dose Milne have pace??

I'd be very surprised if we sign anyone else of note.

Same here. I reckon we are done and it's just a matter of rounding out the squad. How many players are left anyway.

The subject of the DT article was about cleary roster management. Cleary pointed out that has not done much recruiting since his first signing spree. Inferring there still more recruiting to be done. Also pascoe has tweeted we have not spent the cap yet or finalised top 30.

It's all well and good having cap and roster space, but whose available on the open market. Pickings are pretty slim.

See if the fire sale actually happens.

Two teams worth. We have to field majority of an isp team under the top 30-36.

I agree, we still need another hooker and another fullback option. Also Kev isn't signed.

I think the fire sale will turn out to be embers burning.

I agree it will be depth players or overpriced veterans that cop the brunt of it.

If the complaint clubs stick solid they'd be forced to release stars.

I can't see any star players being released. I tend to agree we will see the back ended veterans on the market and we will be lucky to see a handful of them at that.

I can't see us making any new signings of note. Few development players and a few re-signings is all we will see.

Forgetting the supposed 'fire sale' for a moment, I think most here agree that we could still use one more NRL standard prop for next season. The available prop stocks are a tad low now, but there are still a couple of current first graders off contract, namely Sam Tagatese & Jeremy Latimore both from the Sharks bench.

Question - would you rather us keep Tim Grant or try and entice one of these guys over? Part of me wants to keep Grant with the way he is playing now and because he is already a member of the team and won't need to settle in, but the other part of me worries that he will go back to his old ineffective ways once he's re-signed, hence it might be better to pick up one of either Tagatese or Latimore who both go ok.

Or is there anyone else decent still on the market? Thoughts?

The other day andrew murray for the rabbits was brilliant, does anyone know if hes off-contract or if he is consistent?

I hear you. Essentially if we don't have a better all round option, I would like him to stay. He is experienced in a team that will need experience.

If there is a better all round option available, I would prefer them, but ATM I can't see one.

Here is a few players to fill these positions. All are young up & comers who will play plenty of First Grade in the not too distant future.
Prop - Ben Nakubuwai
Backrow - Rhyse Martin : also a Goal kicker
Fullback - Jarome Luai : also plays in Halves
Outside Back - Jamayne Isaako : also plays Fullback, Halves & Goal Kicker

I don't think Ben Nakubuwai will leave the Titans . And a big yes for the rest, especially Jamayne Isaako

The Bulldogs and rabbitohs have both put a list of players that won't re-sign with their club. From the rabbitohs you there are 2 players that may help boost our position in second row. Toby Rudolf who is 21 can play in the front row or second row. He also used to play Rugby Union. Brett Geinke is 23 and can calso play in second-row. From the Bulldogs Michael Lichaa and speedster Tyrone Phillips are noteable players we can go for but I don't think we'll sign them.

Latimore is solid, but getting a bit long in the tooth. Tagatese is hopeless, he makes Ava look like a golden boot candidate
