In a decision that would leave Penrith fans reeling and the Wests Tigers faithful cheering, Matt Moylan is at the centre of a discussion that would result in the Panthers skipper leaving the club.

The whispers suggest Penrith officials are over the salary cap for 2018 and 2019 and would entertain the prospect of letting a player go to ease the pressure.

And with rookie fullback Dylan Edwards making the no.1 jumper his own, Nathan Cleary at home in the number seven and rising star Tyrone May handling his call-up for Moylan at pivot with ease, it's the NSW Origin star's name that has emerged out of the Tigers camp.

With big-money player James Tedesco bound for the Roosters, the Tigers not only have cash they also have a vacant fullback spot .

Would be surprised if he was able to write for a competing media website.
 
Well in fairness it does make a lot of sense for Penrith to let him go, they do seem to be over the cap and Edwards has made the fullback spot his own, and Tyrone May is killing it at 6!

Could see Penrith letting him go, but I can't see us being interested. I'd like it to happen I reckon he'd be a very good buy, but I think they see Lolohea as the future fullback.

No… Cleary is zero chance of coming to the Tigers while Ivan is here.

Anyway, I'd play Moylan at 6 over Reynolds every day of the week.

Yes thats right and if Moylan was to be recruited, Reynolds (on a 4 year contract) could only really be moved to hooker. Too expensive for ISP but that would potentially come at a cost with Liddle looking elsewhere….
