RFM isn’t on big money so the dogs won’t get rid of him no chance

Second rower…. hmmmm well I just watched the titans and roosters game and would love Hipgrave his aggressiveness is so good to watch should’ve seen him go at Fergo all game along with hitting teddy with a bell ringer

Not sure on his contract situation but what do they mean anyways.... just ask Mitch

OFF CONTRACT 2018 Is Hipgrave, love his aggressiveness which we do need.

A game breaking second rower is what we need desperately! Surely, Ivan can see how much we are lacking here? The guys we have are great and they all do a fine job, but they are all pretty much the same - workhorses in defence and reasonably strong running with the ball, but none of them have that edge that would consistently break the line and put the fear into the opposition - a la Taumalolo, Pangai Jr or Taupau. Even the 'Beast' has gone off the boil lately  Surely there is someone out there we can target, who would be willing to leave their club for good money - pleeease!! 😛ray:

I hate watching Roosters games brings back painful memories especially when Teddy is firing. Hipgrave seems like a grub, wasn't impressed by him

Me and you both brother

I don’t want him playing origin but on the brightside he won’t play against us if he does get selected

Hipgrave is the sort of bloke that you would hate, unless he’s on your team then you’d love him!

Bit like Marty everyone else thought he was a bit of a grub but we all loved him

Hahaha I also have that love/hate relationship with Teddy….

Yeah I guess when you put it like that but Taupau was something special, can't see Hipgrave turning out like that but who knows

I think Ivan just needs to go out the back and pluck one off the game breaking backrower tree..

If only it were that easy.

Yes, but if we were to show interest and drive his price up the Bulldogs would have no choice but to let him go as they're strained by the cap

God no, don't even think about taking Woods back. HIs performance on the field is ok but not fantastic, I'd rate him as only average. However, his off field performance last year as captain of our team was pathetic and the culture he was so desperate to leave, but a huge part of, has gone, but he should not be given a get out of jail pass and come back. That attitude and performance should not be forgiven.

His culture is no longer WT, he is a dog now, literally and figuratively. Let him and the Bulldogs lie in their bed. Shop him off to ESL.

Disagree! At good price I would gladly take him.

He’s contracted…... if he was off contract then yes but they do have a choice as he is locked up til the end of 2020

Hearing aaron woods hits the market and we are one of several clubs interested

If he's willing to take a pay cut.

I was only thinking this morning about the Bulldogs still needing to release someone else
I suggested we should go after Mariner
I think he would be much better for us then Woods
I like Mariners aggressive runs
Woods is to slow and we have moved on
Unless he excepts a massive pay cut and a bench warming spot
Maybe we go for both as a package deal

They're not letting Mariner go.

They would only release players that are on silly money and long contracts like Mbye, Foran and Woods

Amen to that!
Don’t want Woods anywhere near us ever again.

I would not take Woods back under any circumstances on any cap amount. He slows down the attack and is a halves killer that can’t defend and gives away penalties.
He also left the Tigers as captain. This is unforgivable. Dogs can keep his bad contract no one will take it in even teams desperate for props won’t pay more than 400k for him now.

I wouldnt take him back either but it's not up to us.
Luckily, though, I think Ivan and co do take into account the fans. That was a big reason for getting back Benji.
Getting woods back won't be the same feelgood story.
I still think he's a good player though.

Just read posts from some Canberra supporters
I cant repeat the explicit language but let's just say they warned Ricky and co
There are plenty of supporters who dont want him
I guess at the right price he would be ok
But Packer and Matalino are worth more in my books

Woods does not fit the culture that the club and team aspire to ..he is yesterday’s hero! His fit is with his mate Mitchy the pair that held our club to ransom.

Canterbury can not just trade him to another club if he does not want to go hes got a contract at Canterbury but its Cronulla that is the whisper i hear

I would have Woodsie back no problems. Much better than Sue, Twal , Grant etc. But tne price has to be right, I could understand everyone wanting to leave under Taylor, but i think he would have liked to continue under Cleary imo.
