There are some really good hookers on the market Segeyaro, Luke, Api and to a lesser extent Rein and Baptiste.

The first 3 mean you lose Liddle as they are starters. Rein or Baptiste would be good as reserves if Liddle is the the answer.

Question I have is - how long do you wait for liddle to come good?

Liddle will be a completely different player come round 1 next year. He was going good till sternum injury and then just couldn’t handle the collisions

Eother Farah plays a year and Liddle plays #14 or we recruit Lichaa or Parcell and they start...

If Liddle has a injury filled year, he can be ISC hooker going forward into 2020 or find a new club.

He isn't reliable.

You seem to forget he had no pre season and copped a sternum injury about 4 games into his comeback….I think it is realistic he will improve considerably next year

Liddle has smaller thinner frame than Farah. If Liddle could bulk up some (another 10 kgs say) he would be worth keeping. We can't keep holding on to him for another 2 or 3 years in hoping he's be our number 9\. Go after either Blayke Brailey, or bring Matt Parcell back from the UK as our starting 9\. Chooks won't go after Brailey as they have Victor Radley who is their back up 9.

If he put on 10 kg that would be the end of him.

By the way i think he is better now than either Brailey or Parcell. They might be ok for a back up.

I’m a Liddle fan and wouldn’t have Gamble anywhere near my top 30 players.

Liddle has played injured all year, recovering from reconstructive surgery and all with no preseason. He will be a gun.

I'm not convinced on Liddle yet and I sure as hell don't rate Taylor in at hooker, but its a bit hypocritical of you to bag people who do rate them, yet in the next sentrance bring up Lichaa again (now that sounds delusional). Hes rubbish and I know we need an answer, but tell me something he would bring to the team that would make us a top 4 threat? (Maybe he isn't very injury prone, but so what).

I totally agree. The days of mediocre signings and band aid solutions need to be a thing of the past if we are to ever going to be successful. I suppose it's what we've use to tho.

Lichaa would be my first choice followed by Matt Parcell.

80 minute players who can get through a season.

Our boy Liddle might not work out and we sure as hell aren't giving Kurt Aldridge a shot next year so we need a reliable hooker signing... Who will more than likely play most of the year in first grade if.... Which is likely... Liddle can't compete.

I agree Demps, we can't wait around for Liddle forever. Though with hookers such as Luke, Segeyaro and Koroisau off contract, Liccha would be the last one I'd be looking at.

On another note, how come our young blokes always take so long to develop? Look at players like Isaako, Lewis, Cleary, Cotric, Radley, Manu, Brailey, Kikau etc - they all get into first grade, start playing gangbusters from the get go and never look back while the majority of our touted youngsters are still struggling to be NRL standard 3 or 4 years after debuting. Wests Tigers fans have to be the most patient people in the world!
