Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Wests Tigers have poached up-and-coming Roosters outside back Paul Momirovski for next season, with the NSW junior representative moving to Concord from 2019.

Momirovski made history earlier this year when he, Poasa Faamausili and Sean O'Sullivan became the first trio of players to all score in their debut games in the Roosters 20-12 defeat of the Gold Coast.

To date that remains Momirovski's only NRL appearance, but he has featured in an impressive cohort of juniors coming through at Bondi, playing alongside Victor Radley, Joseph Manu and Nat Butcher in an under 20s premiership and captaining Latrell Mitchell and Connor Watson at SG Ball level.

Momirovski, 22, also represented NSW under 18s before two season-ending shoulder reconstructions delayed his progress to first grade.

His signing adds further depth to Ivan Cleary's backline stocks next year at the Tigers.

Thoughts? Looks promising…

You need to suply the source…

Momirovski was great in the 20's side that won the comp....highly regarded before injury struck...good signing if true....has pace and is a centre..

One of our top 30 spots? Another seasoned first grader in the prime of his career! Come on recruitment team - sign someone we can get excited about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The word excited in the same sentence as the WestsTigers big call …

Tigers steal Latrell Mitchell from Roosters because he wants to play finals footy - 5 year deal. THAT’S WHAT I WANT TO READ IN THE SIGNINGS THREAD.

I can not remember the last signing that actually got me excited you know that game changer ….one can only hope that one day in the not to distant future the club can sign a couple of in there prime top liners to really get excited about!

Its plainly obvious we are waiting for the Nathan Cleary decision before making any decision

Extremely risky game unless they already know the answer …....

Heard a rumor we are chasing one of Matty Johns kid for next season.

Haven’t seen the one at the storm but the one at the knights is crap

Since the Storm seem to be able to polish some turds this one might need more than elbow grease. If he was any good you’d think his old man would get him a gig at Newcastle. PASS

Momirovski replacing Naiqama maybe

I'll take that exchange every day of the week!

'Momers' will be a good signing, scored on debut for the Chooks against the Titans this year .. tall, good speed, good hands and plenty of determination, and I think you'll find he's in the mid to high 90 kgs nowadays. Can play centres, wing or fullback.

Frankly. These are the kind of signings to get excited about.
It means that the current junior deadwood is out of favour and we are actually looking outside our own backyard for talent.
Young and eager, has size and speed and wants to play first grade.
South signed a bunch of these guys a couple years back, they did suffer from a lean year or two but they may have come down to other reasons you don’t know. Ultimately though, these signings improved their depth dramatically.
Robert Jennings, Tyrell Fuimaono, Braidon Burns, Hymel Hunt, Richard Kenner were all signed to Souths in the last 2 years.
I actually like the direction the club is taking in these signings.

Let's hope that a few more good signings will follow shortly.

I think we'll hear about players coming in once their respective teams seasons are over. Whether it's finals of end of regular season. that's what I'm telling myself!

Im with you Needaname.

This is how you build a competitive roster.

A couple of name signings once the finals are over and things are on track.

The Johns boy at the Storm was one of the best talents running around in NYC last year. Can't see why the Storm would let him go if he's top prospect.

The other Johns boy, meh….
