I get people want some positive news right now but I’m glad the club aren’t rushing into signing just anyone. I’m sure they are talking to players but we need to get the right players and if they aren’t there right now we need to wait.

Backrower is a huge weakness - Matterson is arguably the best on the market
Centre is a huge weakness - Momirovski is the next cab off the rank at the premiers stuck behind two of the best young centres in the game, pretty coy signing

Looks to me like we are taking a quality > quantity approach.

How hard is it.

When you look at it Broncos owe Wayne massively over the last 30 years he is a legend and the most important person making the Broncos brand. It’s his time to go and a 1m parting gift would be minor in relation to his achievements for them.

The Panthers if they have an ounce of credibility will pay out Clearys contract as a PR exercise. They have paid out Griffin and Cleary big money in the past and are backed by a rich club.

Wayne will come at full freight but hopefully subsidised by the Cleary sale. I think it’s highly likely we end up in a very good position with a better coach, cash in the bank and a better roster quickly.

How hard is it.

Bennett loves a dollar as much as Gary Jack and is little doubt posturing with the horses in saying that he is only looking for 2020 onwards contract elsewhere. My guess would be a $500k odd settlement and payment for any auxiliary staff being moved on in the process.

It’s not like clubs are trading players left and right and we are standing in a corner all my ourselves. There hasn’t been much player movement across the league. I can’t remember a player signed in the last 2 weeks where I felt that they should be at the Tigers.

But the game against the titans, IMO I think he had a poor game other than the try he scored. His defence was no where near first grade standard., Idk maybe I’m being too harsh
