Exactly the player we need!!

Absolutely! He's far better than any prop that we can put on the field. Let's get him.

$4.6 million in a four-year deal.

Definitely not worth that much coin.

4.6 million for a 4 year deal? Cmon!
that's like 1.15 Million a season. Cronk is on 800K (ok more with Kickbacks).
Klemmer is a good player. We offered Woods 900K, Klemmer would kinda be worth that money but boy is it a risk.
Yes, he is probably off to Cronulla but no way can they afford him. Maybe Panthers with the Panthers offering Merrin. I can't see where the money is in anyone's cap for him.

Newcastle have been keeping a war chest for him for the last 18 months. They will blow everyone out of the water. If he's released by the Bulldogs he'll end up at Newcastle on > $1 million a season.

NRL Rumours & Updates
1 hr

➡️Jarryd Hayne has accepted he will NOT be a Parrmatta Eel in 2019\. Hayne stated the following,

"I've obviously waited a while to get something on paper but I think the long story short is Parra just can't."

"They've already done their roster. It was done before I actually got there (from the Gold Coast at the start of 2018)."

"You hear speculation that some of those players might be leaving and what not. I think that's what they're waiting for."

"But no one has left yet and pre-season starts in a couple of days so it's not looking good."

➡️**Jarryd Hayne confirmed he is not retiring and looking at his options**.

"**I'm going to have to (look around) because I don't have a job. In four days my contract is over**."

"It's a bit of a lottery (where I will be in 2019)."

"I'm on the market looking for a job. I've got to pay the bills."

➡️Hayne also confirmed he will not rule out a code switch as an option.

"I think I'm open to anything so I'll just have to wait and see."

✏Would you have Hayne at your club in 2019?

Been saying this for a couple of months now. I can only hope.

Most will probably say no but for the right price, you'd have to seriously look at it. Dylan Walker another I wouldn't mind.

Why not both. Move benji and grub on and play Mybe at 5/8

Unrealistic no doubt but like i said i can only hope.

I think I've said before when you've mentioned Hayne that I don't think he'd be the worst signing. At least he has shown some real form recently with his finish to the 2018 season (he was looking very ordinary when he actually played in the first half of the season). I think he's wasted at centre though, he plays best when he has space to operate in.

Walker on the other hand it's been two years now since he has looked like a major attacking threat. His whole time at Manly has been fairly ordinary and while that's probably in part due to them stupidly playing him at 5/8, he still hasn't been great when moved back to centre. I think he'd come with a hefty price tag and I'm not convinced he'd be worth it, although Maguire is in a good position to judge that I suppose.

Thats a well thought out response, I cant argue it.

I guess Walker would come down to the $$$, at the right price.

We need to stay away from the huge money deals. Dogs regretting getting Woods his new manager is the honourable Isaac Moses.
Compassionate release to grab huge dollars.
The Knights have the room but one or two injuries or loss of form and this will hurt them badly.

He wants a release so he can leave Sydney - we are no chance.

Well I don't think it's so much that he wants to leave Sydney as grab the giant sackfuls of cash that Newcastle have been waving at him for some time now.

Knights could grab Klemmer if he is released from Dogs

Also told Mitchell Moses to Warriors because of his uncle and Kearneys relationship.

Yeah I read that two days ago

So from SJ to Moses.. Yikes

You'd only release him if you had cronk.

Parra would probably have to pick up a chunk of the freight, so they probably get close to 500g off their cap by taking Moses and releasing SJ

I wonder how much room we have in our cap? You have to think there's a fair chunk

If we could manage SJ I'd jump at the chance, we are super light on for X factor and we have plenty in our squad that speak his lingo bro, even our coach has probably picked up a couple of choice phrases by now

Maybe we move Reynolds back to the Dogs, we don't need him in a SJ & Brooksy scenario where we already have two hookers. Even if we still end up stuck with $300k or so of the JR bill it would free up around $400k and the Dogs would be looking for a PR positive, plus they may be looking at releasing Foran back to Manly and still paying a big chunk of his freight. If they do lose Klemmer, Reynolds could be just the shot to calm a rabid kennel

NZ would be mad to release SJ. Yet Kearney is a madman of a coach. He wants to turn NZ into Melbourne, hence replacing a dynamic 7 with a fairly bland by the rules 7.
If I were Bellamy, I would offer Croft or whoever else is playing 7 there for SJ. Maybe even Munster.

I really hope it's parra and Norman/Moses who go over there for SJ. I totally rate SJ, but the more change we have in our halves the more disturbed our season is.

My prediction… Des wants Foran, the Dogs will want Reynolds to replace him and I cannot see us getting in their way.
We then either ask for Taupau (which will be a no) or Walker.

I think Reynolds is a good player, but his injuries this year have made him a non event for us. If he stays and earns his money he will be good for the team. If however the Bulldogs want him, then it would be good to switch. The Dogs cannot keep Foran and Manly want Foran bad.
