Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

So packer to dragons and et to panthers? I'd be happy if that were the case, but it all seems to convenient that we get dufty and dwz and get rid of two expensive under performers

Dufty isn't a under perform, he is just a really small person.

Can we get Jacob Host instead of Dufty.

Even better, thanks Geo.

We have paid too much for Reynolds, ET and Packer. No one will take them off our hands for what we are paying them (and IF they do, and its a big IF, expect the Tigers to be paying a substantial amount for them to do so, whih prooves little benefit to us).

Its not just a case of a club thinking do they want Packer or Reynolds...some clubs may have an interest, but does a club want to pay $600k for Packer is another question? And if they are willing to pay $300k, is it really worth us doing to pay the other $300k.

Thank Ivan for this one. The club will struggle to genuingly get on the front foot to 2022 because of this.

Can we get another premiership? thanks

Yes everyone can agree we paid too much for Reynolds, Packer, ET etc... however as a club we really had no choice back than because what player is going to want to come to us when we don't make the finals, Terrible training facilities and past bad management etc.. (We are not the big clubs the NRL likes and have unlimited TPA and special brown paper bags ). I believe we are heading in the right direction now but we still need to pay overs for some players that we really need.. I for one would love to see DWZ come here but not at a massive price.

@hsvjones Reynolds hardly plays and when he does, he is fairly poor compared to when he was at the Bulldogs, Packer can't even play and ET...well he's just ET isn't he

This argument is such nonsense. The Knights were coming off multiple wooden spoons and somehow managed to sign Ponga, Pearce, Klemmer etc. There's simply no excuse for signing players like Reynolds and Packer on top dollar - it's just throwing good money after bad.

You do realise that soon the Knights will be paying each of these players 1 million a season? Yes they're playing well enough now, but it's still way overs, like we have to pay, and only an injury away from devastating their season.

The Knights are now targeting the Sharks number 9 .. Jayden Brailey for next season. Were'nt we after the younger brother Blayke .. ?? Wow imagine if both the Braileys leave the Sharks .. haha.

We were rumoured to be. Blayke has re-signed with the Sharks.

Blayke is staying, Jayden has conceded he will have to go either for next year or when his contract runs out in 2020

Yes as long as they throw in Vaughan as a sweetner..

@2041 Don't agree mate.. Knights got Pearce (money too good to refuse and Roosters were getting Cronk ans Knights were one of the last teams with money), Klemmer (needed to get out of Sydney for family reasons) and Ponga (Young kid and offered a truck load of money so hard to say No) .
If Knights were based in Sydney I find it hard to believe they would of even got 1 out of them 3 as a team that had won back to back Wooden Spoons .
Unfortunately we choose the wrong players for the money they are on but as i have said before until be actually make the finals and have better facilities etc.. we will have to pay big money and hope they turn out well. If you think we will get a Rep quality players for little money you need to get your head out of the sand. we all want the the same result though and to see the Tigers in the finals..
