Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I love it when people on here trot out the 'we need to be patient' line. Our roster and our cap have been systematically botched up for nearly 10 years now, culminating in our CEO being banned for six months because of a silly, avoidable breach.

The only time we have had decent coin to spend in the market, during all this time, we ended up spending overs for a whole bunch of bog average, perennially injured players past their prime, in a move that has now put us in another black hole and unable to compete for the top players for... oh I don't know ....perhaps another 3 years!

Sorry people, but I'm done being patient. This cycle of losing and having to wait for the mythical pot of gold at the end of a rainbow just never seems to end. Losing the seemingly unlosable signature of DWZ this morning was the last straw.

@Spud_Murphy Mate I 100% agree with this.... No other club has been down like we have for this long period of time... I am just sick of losing and would like just once to be in the finals series ...

I think we all need to get used to the fact we will be riding out all our rubbish contracted players, with little chance of signing any quality anytime soon. No one in their right mind is going to take any of our players plain and simple. What teams other than ESL would want **Packer,** Mats, ET, Reynolds or Mbye (Bellamy couldn't do much with them). Reality is 2 or 3 years time our rubbish will be off contract, our COE will be finished and hopefully Madge can attract what we need. Sit patient again WTs fans.

Packer, as we all know, has a criminal record and did jail time.

I am fairly sure that rules him out for a UK work permit.

Cleary was completely irresponsible giving Packer 4 years for 750 a year.

Saints offered two at 500.

There was no need to go that high OR that long. Especially for a player not possible to 'offload' to the UK SL if things went wrong.

Given Cleary visited Packer in jail, knew him since he was a kid etc....................you could be forgiven for thinking the contract was more like a "here's enough to set you up for life mate" deal than a balanced, thought out properly, professional deal.

Tyson Gamble <>Rhys Martin swap on the cards

Is that from anywhere?

That would be a nice deal. Finally a GK.

With Matto at right backrow and Rowdy at left, he would have to be 13

Well, what options do you have? Either waiting patiently and hoping for the best (ie, accepting mediocrity!) or stop watching (ie, being a quitter).

I'll be cheering them on for the rest of my life, but I can't begrudge someone who can't do it anymore. Feel free to come back when we start winning.

He is decent, well worth playing just for the boost it would be to go up by 6 for once when we score out wide.

MCK, McQueen and ET all offer less and can't kick.

@TIGER fair call but don’t do drugs 🙂.

So you've never had a beer, drank a coffee or had a headache table?

If so, I hate to break it to ya like this but.... you've 'done drugs'

Not sure if you're being facetious, but Spud is right. When every club has made the finals in the last 4 seasons and it's taken us 7 it's hard to take. I often wonder how much easier it would be to not follow a team (I would never change teams.)

It's hard being a Wests Tigers fan at the moment. Every year people pay for memberships, turn up to games and buy merchandise and feel like we are being taken for fools. Other clubs fans laugh at us and we can't attract top line talent. We just keep getting dicked, either by club admin, the game admin or rogue coaches.

I'm sick of it too. Not surprised if others decide to pull the pin...

Not being facetious. I can easily imagine people that stop watching or support another team. There are really only 2 options. Keep supporting or don't. I hope Spud is having a bad day and will feel better after a win or a signing.

Yeah, I don’t get it either. As supporters, we have no control over anything. We have one of 2 choices. Endure it, or walk away. Moaning about it, doesn’t make you any better than anyone else, because you are still here, being a glutton for punishment like the rest of us.

Whinging about it from time to time is cathartic. What else can you do with a team like this?

Whinging is fine. But whinging about others not whinging, and believing that that means they accept mediocrity I can’t agree with, because they accept it just like the rest of us because they haven’t walked away.

Sometimes GNR you hope that the club reads these posts and maybe starts feeling our pain

Because if they don't the club isn't doing their job

I have started turning games off early and I'm much less bothered by results. Unfortunately I can't put in the safe effort as I used to, especially when the players don't.

All good with me how others choose to follow the team, I've given up on this being a fairytale year and probably won't go to another game even though I'm a member.
