@WT2K

Let's go for the full back with the pony tail - he's a goer!

Most definitely. Big fan of CNK!

No one wanted him last year when he Storm were shopping him around.
Same as Pap.

Always have said we should have pinched CNK when he was languishing in reserves at the Warriors, almost forgotten about.

JAC is no fullback, sounds like he wants fullback money though if that's really what he has said he sees himself as.

@851 Seems to be a Bulldogs habit? Jon Thurston was also too small for them 😂😂😂

@Madgic Not at all, if I could be bothered looking back through my posts I'm sure I can find one where I mentioned it while he was at the Warriors stuck in ressies.

He had a lot of hype around him before his debut, and while he wasn't spectacular in the few games he played for the Warriors - he definitely showed enough. And of course, wouldn't have cost anything.

But yah, pointless to talk about now.

@Moh 'fraid so. He's NOT a big city boy and seems super happy where he is. Loved Blocker's comment on the weekend that when he started Faders supporters couldn't get his name right - now they're getting it tattooed on their arms! Set in concrete?

Sharks offer is real. They have let Flanagan and Jayden Brayley leave. Reynolds earmarked as their 14 and put pressure on SJ. I also heard they would jump at a straight swap with Dugan.

That would work because Dugan is never on the field either.

**The Mole: Wests Tigers threatening to hijack Bulldogs signing, Benji to play on**

The Wests Tigers are threatening to hijack the Bulldogs’ bid to snare Knights forward Herman Ese’ese.
Wide World of Sports can reveal that Ese’ese met with Bulldogs officials last week and passed a medical examination.
But the Tigers have come in late, telling the in-form Knight they want him on board in 2020.
The Tigers have to clear the decks in the salary cap, however, and are attempting to offload forwards Elijah Taylor, Ben Matulino and Russell Packer as well as utility Josh Reynolds.
Newcastle would love to keep Ese’ese but salary cap pressure has left them little choice other than to cut him loose.

BENJI TO PLAY ON, GRUB OR NO GRUB
Benji Marshall seems certain to be a Tiger again in 2020 - even if the club can’t offload high-priced fellow five-eighth Josh Reynolds.
The Tigers are attempting to cut Reynolds from their books despite the fact he has more than two years left on his contract.

It’s been reported that Marshall will stay only if Reynolds finds a club - but I’m hearing that is not the case.
Benji is on a small contract of less than $200,000, a fraction of what he was earning when he was the game’s glamour boy.
So now coach Michael Maguire has decided Benji has something to offer, you can pencil him in as a certainty to be on board again for one last season.

@PrattenParkMagpie

Thanks champion PrattenParkMagpie, I always remember Terry's last year where he won the Dally M from a team (also MY team that I then followed with a passion) that ran stone motherless last as wooden spooners!
So you're dead set right, Terry played those previous years as well.
PS I wish Ray Bernasconi had signed Mr T Lamb at the end of 1983 for a longer contract than just the ONE year that he did! Oh footy, always the "might have beens ... " hahaha

Lamb may have stayed on if Wests future hadn't been put in to disarray by the nswrl.

@Tigerlily Surely we have some sort of money available to sign player/s regardless of releasing the 4 players everyone talks about ?? We lose Fonua, Gamble, Rochow, Farah even though they are not on big money plus we have alot of younger players on small money.. It blows my mind how rubbish we are on running the cap..
The common saying - You Do what you have always done and you WILL get what you always got = Rubbish
I do think our coach will do a great job once he gets rid of the dead wood and signs the players he wants

You still need 30 players, so if you lose 4 you have to replace them at a minimum of $105k, or $75k for up to 4 development players.

So yes 2 months later getting rid of Packer ,Matulino ,Reynolds and Taylor will be so much easier than it was 2 months earlier

We live in some dream universe ........reality is a real bugger isn't it

@Demps You left out a smokey.... Jankovic? - from CC Big unit back rower - ran hard yesterday. Once he learns English I'm sure he'll be OK! ... But seriously he looks a goer!

You mean the Jersey Flegg hooker? Who's about the same size as Benji?

Imagine esse esse leading our pack...he’s young but not to young and he can bend the line excatly what we need...him n Twal will make a great paring

8.Esse esse
9.Liddle (I think this will be Farahs last)
10.Twal
11.Matterson
12.Garner/McQueen/MCK (again I think Lawrence will retire)
13.ET (orrr arrow😂)

14.Api or Reynolds if we can’t offload or if liddle can go the distance then another 2nd rower
15. Mikaele
16.aloaia
17. Packer/Clark/Big Ben/huth

One of the greatest comments by a commentator ever came in rep round this year in relation to Ese Ese...

Can't remember who the player was but he absolutely hammered Ese Ese

To quote Vossy..He hit him so hard it knocked one of the Ese out of his name..

Since then have watched Herman closely..would be a great signing for us..In the right mind frame the kid could be anything..

Yes from me..

but he is now 10 times the player in a star studded team compared to what he was when he was with us

I think Tedesco was just as good for us as anything he's done for Roosters. He just gets to pick his moments more because they don't rely on him so heavily.

What Tedesco has really done is gone to another level at Origin, after several series under his belt. He's proving to be one of those players who is good at club level but outstanding at rep level, reminds me of Tim Brasher.
