How about JAC and Matt Dufty, looks like he may be stuck behind Lomax now.

Duffty is exactly the type of player we should NOT sign if we are fed up with mediocrity and 9th spot.

Agreed. Drinkwater from Cowbiys would be better.

They are moving Drinkwater to 6, which he has played a lot and likes. Cows won't be releasing him any time soon imo. Morgan 7.

POM mentioned Leilua and Musgrove are both likely.

We need a really good forward. Arrow is the pick of the bunch for mine. Outside of that - D Fifita, Frizell, TKO

Bring JAC home, chase Lomax or Drinkwater and sign Brittain for depth at hooker.

Musgrove got found guilty of sexual assault though? Is that correct? That will prevent him being registered?

Ethically I would rather not have him. We are not that desperate surely.

Ethically yes I agree with you. I could be very wrong on this but I think it could be because it’s no longer before the courts he’s allowed to register again.

I think if he was still in a situation where he hadn’t received a formal sentencing yet, the NRL would keep him deregistered. I believe he can now play as the matter has been finalised in court with him only receiving a good behaviour bond and possibly community service from memory which then falls below the threshold of the no fault stand down policy.

If he slips up again though on that bond or reoffends id guess he’s straight back to being deregistered.

Someone else might have a better idea on this and like I said I could be wrong.

We need fast elusive backs. Scott is one, Lomax another. Going into next season with our current backline will be a disaster

That's what we like positivity.

Hopefully Leilua can be another "whats the Matter son" signing without the BS that followed him.

Not sure if you have watched him much, but LL really struggled to stay in games at Saints. He was gassed often and he was commonly the bloke letting the defensive line down.

He is going to be a very good 15 mins each half impact player in 2020 imo. But do not expect long stints.

In Matterson, we lost our only real 80 mins, 150 and 30 plus player. Massive loss.

And for those about to type 'Madge will get him fit!' That never worked for BJ...and LL has much worse conditioning than his cousin.

Think you are way off the mark myself, maybe you were watching a different "Lucy" to me.

I saw a guy that really put in, was one of the few Saints forwards that made ground, off loaded on may occasions so that others gained many more metres and he backed up on many occasions and scored a try off one of he backups.

His defence is pretty good and it is not his fault that his incompetent coach only uses him in short stints. Some people carry a bit more weight but it does not affect their performance, I suspect he is one of those players.

Personally I think he will be an able replacement for a sook that does not want to play for his team mates and club.

Long live "LUCY" Yeah!!!!!!!

Well, I hope you are right mate 🙂

Nothing wrong in being one of the few remaining clubs to have money in the bank by 30th June next year. Usually some surprising quality can emerge during first half of the season.
In the meantime ..... sensible recruitment is the answer.
Don’t put all your chips out on one hand of poker. There are No quick fire fixes out there boys and girls.

The actual file against him for sexual assualt is a bit tipsy turvey, there was quite a decent thread around zane on here early in the year which has all info on it about the case

There are no quick fire fixes, I get that. But I think after 8 years of zero finals appearances and the likelihood we'll be entering 2020 with a weaker lineup than 2019, a lot of people would be losing patience. I certainly have.

Hasn't Scott signed for 2020 with another team?

He was linked to the Raiders but no definitive advice. I thought we would be all over him with our backline issues.
