Can remember this show and Countdown were the 1st 2 shows I watched in colour

If Madge or the club get a genuine opportunity to sign this kid and dont, I dont think I could ever forgive that.

Doesn’t it seem a bit suspicious that the article is written declaring that Mitchell either plays for the Roosters for next year with no upgrade or Play’s for us. Even going as far as saying a release has been brokered between the two clubs.
Yet the only club Mitchell seems interested in is the Roosters.
I don’t know where I stand with this.
If Mitchell wants to play for us, I’m happy to spend it. Otherwise I’d take whatever rabbitoh rejects on a cut price deal that need to move for him to sign there. Johnson, Gagai, Burns, Doueihi. Whoever.

Plenty of players get the tap these days by clubs they don't want to leave. Very few are in their prime like Latrell. We would be nuts not to do our best to get him. Why take South's rejects who would also be forced to leave If you could get Latrell makes no sense.

Tigers have to play this carefully. Mitchell's agents aren't even talking to us at the moment as far as we know. And if Roosters say to Mitchell it's stay here at thew Roosters with no future, or go to WT, and he doesn't choose us, we look even more unattractive.

We have a heap of cash, and we need to spend it to be cap compliant, options fast running out, we can't just keep until next year, the NRL won't allow us too, imagine us getting fined for being too far under the cap

Nah....do it privately but just make it happen. No point being coy and wondering "what if?". Have a proper crack. Tell him we want him, we'll pay this much, lets go. If he does he does, if he doesnt, it was never meant to be. No skin off Tigers noses.

Latrell was spotted at the Chatham High deadly awards tonight. Handing out awards and inspiring youth in his community. One of the many selfless actions of this man when it comes to supporting kids and his community.

For those that don't know, Chatham is just out of Taree town centre

I fully expect Latrell to end up at Souffs, I think it has almost been a done deal for months and I can live with that. I want him here but if its not meant to be, its not meant to be.

But if we make it easier for them by taking their dross Ill lose it.

Don't know what NRL video many of you guys were watching, as I seem to have seen someone/something very different.

I saw (and heard) a Latrell that had already finished with the chooks and was just going back to discuss things mano a mano and go through the motions to fulfil his contractual commitments until his release. If there were tears, it was just the memories and closeness achieved in their successful journey coming out.

I still see plenty of passion in the bloke and his genuine love for his extended family, which is part of cultural community. A community that extends to players of similar heritage and something that sadly, is often lacking in our commodity driven western culture.

Would rather be writing this for a dedicated thread, but still more than happy to welcome him at my footy club. A player that enjoys footy and not another robotic athlete.

Anyway for the amount of talk we all have had over LM if he was to sign i would think 90% of people will be stoked and the other 10% will come around after a few games.. He is a Gun player and we need him big time

im with you FG. When I watched that Latrell interview (the original uncut one) i was prejudiced against him and went in with a particular mindset. I came out with an appreciation and admiration for the kid. I hope he comes here, all signs point to it not happening, but I genuinely hope things go well for the kid (just not at Souffs). The media stitch up has been disgraceful.
